Pet Project
2676 E 2575th Rd, MarseillesI'm gonna try and make this short, I lost my dog last July to old age. Recently I decided it was time for a new pup to brighten my day. I saw Joy and my heart melted. I reached out immediately and one of the volunteers quickly responded and after a brief chat, sent me an application. They said everything looked great and they would pass it to Mary ( who runs per project ) and shed be in touch to set up a meeting. Fast forward to that Saturday my son and I drove to their location and came home with Temperance ( formally Joy). Mary and all the volunteers we met, we super sweet and Mary is incredibly dedicated to her rescue. I filled out the necessary paperwork as Mary explained it. They gave me Joys backstory ( which is heartbreaking so I won't get into it), and made sure I was fully prepared. Gave Temperance her first baggie of toys, dry food to help transition to her new diet, a harness and two, yes two leashes just to make sure she didn't take off on me ( she's still pretty young. About 2yrs old. And now it's been nine days and this, this is why I reccomend Pet Project of LaSalle County... Thank you Mary and all the other ladies we met, we appreciate all that you do for the animals, and how dedicated you are to finding the perfect pup or kitty or any other critters you help, to find their furever homes. Temperance is such a good cat ( that's what she thinks she is, as you can see in the pics below. ) and we love her just the same lol Keep up the good fight!
