Shout out to Grant that works at the Mattoon location. He helped my girls get their own lines and address any and all questions and concerns for them and my account. I highly recommend the Mattoon location and Grant. He makes it stress free.

**please read before you plan to do business with this store** I went into this store last august (or possibly September) to open a single line and with it came a new phone. I also purchased some galaxy Buds. The employee at this store did NOT give me any option for a single line plan aside from a business line, which was $150/month. I found out a couple of weeks later I had plenty of options and I was sold the most expensive configuration possible. With that news I deviated from my single line plan and got on my parent's family plan for another month, and then I left Att altogether to join T-Mobile which paid for the remaining installments on my phone. I was charged $110 inexplicably and when I called Att they said "it's a scam, don't worry about paying it and dispute it with your bank. I did just that, got my money back, but then Att started sending me more bills for $110 which makes absolutely no sense because I closed my line and hopped on another carrier's plan. Fast forward about two weeks, I had a severe seizure and fell on my face, broke two teeth, and in the midst of all the blood spewing out of my head I tried to call 911 (I live alone) and it WOULD NOT CONNECT. In fact, I had no data whatsoever. It turns out Att blacklisted and somehow locked my device just after I joined T-mobile. I had to run to a neighbor's house , still out of it from the seizure and head hitting my kitchen floor so I could ask him to call an ambulance. This all happened in January 2023. It is now the middle of July and I had to send my blacklisted phone back to ATT and completely purchase a new one so I could use it with T-mobile. My "closed" account with Att now has a balance of OVER $19,000 somehow and they REFUSE to help me in any way. Even if I still had my single line business account today, there is no possible way I could owe even a fraction of $19k. I can't say with %100 confidence that ALL of these unbelievable problems came from this one retailer in this specific location, but I can say with complete confidence that because the a**hole working at that store decided to lie to me about my plan options so he could get a better commission, it set off this chain reaction that now has me almost $20k in the hole for absolutely no reason. Not to mention I didn't have 911 services available either. I am in the process of hiring an attorney, and I WILL find out exactly how much of this is the retailer' fault, and how much of it is the corporation's fault. So if the owner of the ATT retail store in Mattoon, IL happens to read this, don't be surprised if you find yourself in court.

Poor customer service. Called them A FULL HOUR BEFORE CLOSING and they REFUSED to answer their phone. And all I needed was a yes or no on if they had a certain product. Honestly overall frustrating. I bet i could have had better customer service from a Fish.

Your rep at the Mattoon Illinois store is the biggest asset you have at AT&T. He took so much time explaining all the advantages of your services. I came from 20 years at Verizon so it was very refreshing to be able to talk to a person. He was awesome!

Received a new phone on a insurance claim. Called AT&t customer service spent 2 hours on the phone talk to 6 people and was hung up on twice still could not get the phone turned on.I walked into the Mattoon AT&t store and within 10 minutes the phone was turned on and I was on my way.Don't waste your time calling AT&tcustomer service go to the Mattoon store the gentleman there will certainly take care of you

I recently switched over from Verizon to AT&T. Best choice I’ve made; fast service and much cheaper plans available. Blaine was my sales associate and he was fantastic. He explained my trade in, got me a free Apple Watch, and also a discount for working in the healthcare field. I highly recommend this store; friendly, fast and great customer service.

As always, everyone's experience is different with DIFFERENT PEOPLE HERE. This has been a good place of business so far for me. With certain people having great quality customer service and some there just for the money ?. AT&T is still a great company and I appreciate the people that work there, that give great customer service(Good will always come back to you). I do also appreciate the ones there for the paycheck, even if the attitude isn't there, maybe they just haven't found a job they're wanting for themselves. They need positive customers as well, this will be to ensure the road ahead will be more appealing instead of dreadful. -- Rocky G.
