“I have loved Big Lots since the 80's. Just moved here to Mattoon about 4 months ago and low and behold they have a Big Lots and I only live 2 miles away ? No I will get to the reason for my review. I found this picture online that I really wanted and it said that I could do a pick up at the store. So I just sashayed on down there and went on my hunt. I looked and looked and could not find it. So I went and found someone and they went above and beyond to help me. They couldn't find it either so she asked her manager. She also helped me out a lot. I want to say Thank you and I will be back. Btw the cashier's name is Melissa, and I did not get the manager's name, but she was working today Friday the 29th. Also I appreciated everything y'all did. It made me feel special ❤️ Thank you”

“I hope this makes its way to management.A few weeks ago I came in to your store with my rambunctious toddler. I saw that the north face jackets were on sale and wanted one, but was having a difficult time trying one (and others) on because of my daughter simply being a kid. So we left to go run around the mall and I was going to stop back by on our way out.Without asking, One of the girls working brought a few jackets to the front of the store for me to try on while my daughter ran around so that I could still keep an eye on her while picking out a couple new jackets!! I was absolutely thrilled by her thoughtfulness, kindness, and excellent customer service. I was so appreciative that she took her time to put in that extra mile to do that for me and put in the extra effort when she certainly did not have to. I likely would have not been able to go back into the store to make my purchase if it were not for her, and I scored a sweet North Face jacket and a Patagonia vest at an excellent price. I am still taken back by the extra effort and kindness from this young lady and have been meaning to post this for a few weeks. Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name, but I hope that management recognizes her for her amazing character. :)”
