“I can’t say how much serenity York at your Mattoon store helped me!! In August I lost my brother it’s was really hard for us but the very next day that I lost him my washer decided to go out! I was so stressed and serenity immediately stepped up and was like come in and See me she walked me thru the store showed me multiple washers and dryers and helped me stay in the exact budget I needed to help me assure I could afford them! That day I received my washer and dryer it was very fast and such an easy process. Well I was unsure how to use them she tried to help me trouble shoot the best we could over video chat and we couldn’t figure it out and she immediately within the hour had someone out here had it fixed! I appreciate everything this store helped us with in such a hard time and how fast and easy the process was! We have had to deal with other rental places for house hold stuff and appliances and it was a night mare took us almost three weeks to receive our things and was charged for a month and we didn’t even have our things and still was charged before they even delivered them. So yes this experience as to others we have had was absolutely amazing quick easy and painless and never have we received our things in a timely manner n anytime we had an issue they made us wait a week or more to get a tech out just to be told we had to wait for a new one it was absolutely ridiculous! When I couldn’t figure it out she tried to walk me thru it n them immediately sent someone out and told me if they couldn’t figure it out they would bring me a new one in the morning! I couldn’t be more appreciative for the experience we received! Aside there very rude female that’s was actually another worker whom made a comment insinuating I was retarded I’m 34 years old I’ve been doing laundry since I was 12 yrs old and for her to be a smart ass n say why don’t someone go teach her how to do laundry bc obviously she can’t figure out do mind you I was on the phone while she was trying to trouble shoot problems. I’ve been in the store countless times and heard this woman speak to people In such a rude manor basically Insulting there intelligence. She is very rude there has been many times I’ve dropped serenity off food and drinks and she try’s to speak to people with a smart ass attitude and it’s not right. She truly makes the store look bad and to be quite honest after the rude comment towards me I really wanted to just send my stuff back n cut my losses and go to a different company but because everyone else that works there went out of there way as far as coming to my home and helping me figure within the hour they was on top of it. That’s the only reason I stayed with this company because the amount of compassion and empathy they had for my situation and my loss. They were truly compassionate and apologetic for my loss and the hardships I was going through but honestly it takes one bad apple to put a bad taste in someone’s mouth about the whole place. Hope you have a blessed day and I think 5 stars is a understatement because I was truly blessed and it really helped us in a hard time.”
“I had a breakdown of my refrigerator. We called two other appliance retailers in Mattoon before calling Broadway Appliance. One advised they only work on units they've sold, and the other advised they were 2 to 3 weeks out. When we called Broadway, Tanner advised he had an opening 2 days out, which we scheduled. I had guests visiting the house at the time who were isolating due to the virus. Jessie the technician arrived at the time scheduled and was respectful and properly prepared for the situation. He provided a temporary fix to the refrigerator and stated exactly what steps he was taking, and parts he was ordering for the repair. The parts came in one day earlier than he estimated, which in turn Jessie made the repair one day earlier than he initially indicated. Jessie was quick, neat, well mannered and knowledgeable. We wholeheartedly recommend Broadway Appliance.”
