Harrah's Metropolis Hotel and Casino offers 252 deluxe hotel rooms. It is a smaller casino with quite a few tables and slot machines, though the machine selection lacks variety. Experiences with dealers vary, with some described as robotic and having trouble, while others are interactive and fun. The staff and hosts are generally nice and friendly. The rooms are clean and well kept. While the main restaurant is sometimes closed, there are other excellent restaurants nearby. It combines casino gambling with southern Illinois charm, providing live entertainment and a place to stay and play.

Paint, carpet, and wallpaper are considered renovated here. They kept all the old brass fixtures, tubs, toilets, sinks.... jankey.

This was just a visit to sign up for Caesars rewards. Was given $10 each of freeplay which was a bonus but made the experience not so pleasant trying to access the freeplay money from the rewards card.
