“I’m in there about every week. It’s always easy to get in and out. And the employees know where everything is. I managed a hardware store, for years, so I appreciate it.
I need a key for my dead father’s screen door, and a few months ago I went to get a key cut, and they didn’t have a blank. Nobody stocks that old blank.
I did the lock rekeying and keys at the lumber yard, and I have an account with the key wholesalers, so I got a bag of those keys.
I went back to get 4 keys made, and the young woman didn’t want to be bothered, and said she could only cut their keys. So I offered the the bag of ten keys for a dime, a penny a key, and then they would be theirs and I could get 4 keys cut, which l was willing to pay full price for.
But no, she didn’t want to do them, so I left.
When I get near K&K Hardware I’ll get them there.
I’ll keep shopping there, but it’s disappointing that she would turn down a sale ?”

She was very versed in the items and even drilled a hole in the handle for the squeegee. And after all that, she pushed our cart out to the car and loaded it for us. Best customer service. “Called them to fix a door closer problem. They got the job done quickly and no problems after. Decided to try them for a complete replacement of my oversize shop entry door. Door order, communication, delivery, and installation went perfectly so I decided to employ them a third time to replace a door to a rental unit. “I rented a small tractor with a loader bucket and backhoe. The rental staff were friendly and efficient.I had some experience with a loader tractor, but not the backhoe. Staff answered my questions, but some technical information was not given (such as the presence of locking pins in the backhoe mechanisms (likely for transport purposes). Instructions were mainly that it's "easier to play with it and learn it's operation that way". In most respects that was true if you have at least a little knowledge, but you must realize that there is a great deal of responsibility in operating a piece of complex machinery that weighs thousands of pounds, and that has powerful hydraulics that could quickly pin or crush you or a bystander.Ideally I would recommend that home depot personnel give at least an introduction to the backhoe controls and safety, and that anyone who has zero experience operating heavy machinery to not do it without someone present that can guide you in safety/operation fundamentals. Home depot rules also require you to connect the trailer containing the equipment to your tow vehicle yourself (they can give verbal directions), be able to back the trailer up for hookup and return, etc. Most likely this is for liability purposes.Other than that, the rental process was quick and easy, and the machine and trailer were in fantastic condition. I took photos of the tie down chain positions before I unloaded it, and I found those useful when it came time to load the machine when I was done with it.”
“I do business at your Cedar Rapids location and have been very happy with the service that I get dealing with Charlie and Peter. But for some reason the pricing on my account is never right and they have to adjust it. Charlie has made numerous calls to try and get it fixed to no avail. “Always had a good experience bought nuts and bolts to appliances however stopped in the store December 15th 2024 about 11:15 a.m. we were looking for a washer and dryer a duet by whirlpool there were three people in the Appliance Department one broke away to see if we needed help we told him what we wanted he said they do not carry that particular unit anymore then went back to the conversation with the other two I believe one of them was a manager to whom was within earshot of our conversation with the first associate ,wandered around the Appliance Department for about 10 more minutes no one ever asked help us again .love my Lowe's Moline store but man you people need to work on your selling and suggestive selling meanwhile we are spending $2,500 on a new washer and dryer from
