The 4H Camp and Garden Mansions are particularly notable, with the latter being a stunning and historic site that visitors often volunteer at and recommend exploring through tours. The park features trails outside the garden, though hikers should be cautious of bugs and signage. Over the years, the park has seen improvements after periods of overgrowth and neglect, and efforts have helped restore its former beauty. There are plenty of picnic spots for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Overall, Allerton Park is a cherished and scenic retreat that continues to impress those who visit.
The park was beautiful but very big. We only stayed for a little while but it was worth the drive. I would recommend as a place to visit in Central Illinois!

Lots to see here with multiple gardens and trails. Excellent maintenence of pathways and extremely well manicured gardens.

Wonderful place to visit. Pet friendly. Lots of hiking, great view, many different plants and flowers. A lot of statues.
