“Good location while going to Prairie Fire Glass shop (don't miss it!!!) In Monticello. Pretty quiet but pool wasn't heated (waiting for a part apparently). Restaurant right next door so you don't have to get in car again! Good breakfast with a machine that you wave at and it makes 2 pancakes (like a conveyor belt). Only complaint is breakfast ends at 9 am. WHY do places do that? When traveling, you wanna sleep in sometimes!”
“This was SO MUCH FUN going to Allerton for Christmas 2023. We always like to go to Allerton. We loved the light installations and the walking path with lights above and on both sides. They had illuminated artwork by several different groups. Someone said they were serving hot chocolate but we didn't go to it. Also, someone else said the big building that we saw that had Christmas lights and wreaths on is actually a hotel there on the Allerton property. Not sure, though.”
