“I bring both of my old (>100k) Kias to Mr. Kim’s. I have had Mr. Kim service my cars for two years now. I had a brake problem with my Forte two years ago. My former mechanic could not repair it properly. I brought it in to Mr. Kim’s. He diagnosed the problem. I asked Mr. Kim to repair it. He would not; he told me to tell the first mechanic how to repair the brakes correctly. The first mechanic was very appreciative, but I have been bringing my cars to Mr. Kim’s ever since.
Recently, I brought in my 2011 Forte (188k miles) with engine problems. Rather than have me pour good $$ after bad, he diagnosed the problem in a couple of days and gave me the bad news. It basically needs a new engine. But he was very fair and extremely honest in his assessment. I really liked that car but I guess it’s time to move on.”
