“Don’t toss that old, but decent stuff please. They will take just about anything. (Hey. a less than fashionable coat is better than no coat at all). Pretty sure you can deduct from your taxes, and you might be surprised how good you feel to know you have helped someone in need.”

“Can't say enough about Hooked on Fishing. My grandson and I go there every Sunday right after church. Such a wonderful place for families to relax, connect, and enjoy nature. To observe a child catching their first fish is sheer delight. And to know the community service that Hooked on Fishing provides for groups of adults and children during the week is so encouraging. The Peoria area is the better for the presence of Hooked on Fishing!!!”

“I wish we had a place like this in our town! I can't say enough about this place. Pool, convention center, library, gym, etc. Every town needs a place like this for families. I will be suggesting the powers that be in my town to consider a place like this on the lake. I think the town would really love it, and would have a place to host decent sized events.”

“I want to say that back in 2016 when I was homeless for 3 months May-August, this shelter helped me and Brian Butler is the man! He is a good guy and speaker. This shelter is one of the best things going for Peoria. It's walking distance to the Sophia's Kitchen, nestled in downtown in a perfect spot that is walking distance to many places and they are really resourceful. May the Lord continue to bless them!”

“Great place. The computer specialists to the Forklift safety training is a great place to learn. I would ask them if they do a hands-on forklift training as well. To make sure, for those who don't have any sit down forklift training experience. Then hopefully they will show you how to lock and chock trailers properly, inspect your forklift check list, explain the proper ppe, checking the blind spots, speeding, honking, stacking and unstacking a pallet, etc. I hope this GOODWILL will go the extra mile to get you ready for your job and add more to your resume. Great place.”

“It feels like this location has kept their thermostat at 80 degrees all winter. No other goodwill location requires me to remove my coat and still be sweating. This also seems to be the only location that has issues using the 10% off donator coupons -- they always have to call over a manager which doesn't make any sense. Anyone could lie to get the 10% student, senior, or military discount (no proof required), but I hand over a physical donation coupon and the line gets held up for a manager? Lol.Other than that, this is usually one of the better locations to find good stuff.”
