“I'm a homeowner, not a contractor. I went in to buy some trim paint that had been used in my home and thought I had puzzled out what I needed. When I mentioned my contractor's first name, the person working at the counter told me that no, that painter actually uses a different product. The fact that he listened, knew my contractor, cared enough to have a conversation, and got me the right paint is great customer service. To them, the sale was only a gallon of paint. For me, it made a big difference. And very friendly to boot!”
“Just moved to the area, and this store is right down the street from our house. Our home is over 100 years old and needs some TLC. We found a paint color we loved and hoped Sherwin-Williams could help us find a close match. That’s when we met Claire.
She went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, helping us choose the best paint without overcomplicating things. We saw her several times over a few days as we kept coming back for more paint, and every time she provided the same excellent service and high-quality guidance.

“I didn't buy anything, but I did learn that they have great customer service. Here's what happened. I was next door waiting for the Thai restaurant to open. I was on my way back from the Chicago Western Suburbs, driving back to Milwaukee after visiting my dying father in a hospital. I had to take a call from a close out of town out of the country relative and it was too cold standing outside to talk to I ducked into the nearest store, this one. There was no one else in the store, and the sales guy came up to see if I needed help but then overheard enough that he politely and discreetly turned around and surreptitiously went about his business. When I finished the phone call he recognized I didn't actually want any paint and left me be even though I didn't leave. I can't explain why but I was staring at some cans of paint, and later it registered on me that they have a pretty good stock, and of course Benjamin Moore is a high quality paint. I think one of the foundations of good customer service is reading customers and figuring out what we need. I'll tell you when I do need paint, I'm coming back here even though it's 45 minutes from where I live. It's next to an excellent Thai restaurant. One more plus, the owner supports the Northwestern Wildcats.”

“This is long overdue, but I wanted to give a shout out for the service I received at this location. I needed to have some SEM-brand paint (Warm Gray) matched to a sample part I painted with a rattle can. One of the women that worked in the Waukegan location did a phenomenal job matching it for me. The original mix formulation for a quart size specified by the manufacturer wasn't quite right so she was accepted the challenge to manipulate the color to nearly perfect. I wish I could remember her name and give her full recognition.”
“Danny Santelle was really helpful. He helped us pick the correct paint and explained everything. We got a new paint to try for exterior painting that we are about to try (forte) and it was because of him. Lets see if we like it.
Too bad he is moving to the Kenosha location.”

My only complaint, which is related to Sherwin Williams & not this particular location is that they don’t have a smaller sample paint size. I’ve spent a lot of money so far on samples as I am painting my whole house at the moment.”
