“I refer to this place as Snickerdoodles bc it always gets a fun reaction from my kids. Overall, big selection of toys and nice curation. I really like that they wrap toys for gifts. It's worth any full price or mark up to me to have it wrapped. At times the sales folks have made me a tinge uncomfortable. Kind of comes off as overbearing and I get some stares. I still drive an hour to Naperville to another locally owned toy shop whenever possible bc I tend to feel more welcomed there. Here, there is a bit of a weird vibe. Still, nice to have as a local option.”

“The Gurnee Mills location in Gurnee Illinois is fantastic. We were in there during my granddaughters there and just so you know that if you go in on the month that your child was born and you pay for your Build-A-Bear, the price of your child’s age. Which was fantastic because my granddaughter turned one, so my beer cost a dollar. The outfit for the bear well that cost 30 bucks. But it was a lot of.”

“My family and I went to buy some loose Pokemon cards that my sons were interested in. The cards that they wanted were very random and consisted of Pokemon using all different energies as well as Trainers. The owner Jester was there and he was extremely helpful, helping us find over 30 of the cards that they were looking through by going through binders and loose cards in a box, which was extremely tedious. We've been to many Gamers Worlds where the employees running the store seem like they couldn't care less about their customers. We were fortunate to have the exact opposite experience here and want to thank Jester so much for his kindness and patience!”

“First time at this location. Note that the main photos shown are old. They told me that they don’t bring hardly any plushies in anymore and their focus is more on figures. They have a huge selection of sh figuarts and figma and then some other really cool statutes (non posable). They also have other anime knickknack things, if you’re a anime nerd this place is for you.”
