Pathetic store. Unfriendly staff. I wish i can give a negative rating for this store. I got an item which i had to return after a week. I did not carry receipt but had bank statement clearly showing the charge. Store denied that item was sold by them. When i showed the exact location where i picked it up and the Shelf label of the item affixed in the location, store still kept arguing that return can't be processed saying SKU fell off from their software. I am not sure stores in this age can penalize customers for the software issues they have. Worst experience and the worst part is not understanding the stress customer going through during this experience. This store is very close to my house still i will avoid this store and not sure if anyone else will be willing to go through experience.

Slogan for this location should be the unfriendly hardware staff. I seldom leave reviews. I will leave a review for a business or person that exceeds expectations and for places that are the direct opposite. Unfortunately this is the worst case. This location has a cashier C*****a who has always been borderline rude and generally unhelpful. I have been shopping here for many years and have tried to ignore her attitude. After one incident where she had a melodramatic outburst about my request about a discount, I told her manager that "She started holding her hands across her heart and loudly saying that I was putting a sword through her. This was repeated several times while I tried to stammer apologies. The customers behind me noticed and seemed to move away". Embarrassing! I went in today to buy paint and was greeted with a monotone welcome to Ace. I won't even get into the attitude that the paint guy displayed when I questioned whether I had the wrong paint - it had a different number and a dent in the can. I have the Ace app and had a $5 off 20. When I was checking out she asked for my Ace number, I showed her the app. When I asked about the discount she snapped about that was your number only. I again showed here the discount code and she rudely demanded I put the phone down and then scanned it. I live in SW Naperville. If it weren't so far I would go to the Ace on 75th by the Driver's License station. They have always been friendly, polite and helpful.
Addendum to original post. Ace posted a note requesting I call and "discuss". Sorry, I sent a loooong email to the manager about C*******'s behavior in November as a courtesy and did not publish a review. I got basic yada yada corporate response. Nada accomplished. My policy on reviews remains unchanged - Best & Worst.

Horrible customer service. Went for some parts and I asked employees if they could help, they just straight told me "no we don't have it". They didn't even see what part I was looking for. I just ordered it off from Amazon, never going to this store again. Stores like these are driving people to do online shopping.

I was parked outside a little after they closed because i was talking on the phone. I had an employee come up to me and scream at me that they were closed. He made me feel extremely unsafe.

Always greeted when we come in. Staff always ask what they can help us with. They sell key fobs and program them.Recently ordered a key fob.. cheaper then the dealer... Joe did the setup. 5 minutes later key fob failed. He was on the phone with the manufacturer right away! New one to be sent out. But Joe calls me 5 minutes later and says another one was located!!! Joe programmed the new one and made sure it was working. Even found out the first one was defective from the manufacturer. His professionalism and customer service is very much appreciated!
