Big Lots is a discount store in Niles at the intersection of Harlem Ave and Dempster St, offering crazy good deals and discounts. It is the retail equivalent of a surprise party, where every aisle promises a plot twist of bargains. Shoppers can find great prices on almost anything, from groceries, home decor, furniture, and mattresses to seasonal items, outdoor patio furniture, and rugs. There are lots of things at very reasonable prices, with some items like a cast iron griddle for half of what others charge. While some items can be expensive, the candy prices are dope. The store has a huge selection of food items, though customers should be careful that they are in date. Staffing might be on the leaner side with no self-checkout, but there is no shortage of supplies. The store provides the satisfaction of paying 2017 prices compared to 2024, and the customer service is excellent, with incredibly nice staff who make shoppers feel like the only one in the store. It is a place where you go for the prices but stay for the unexpected joys.

1st time in store, they have a lot to offer, very busy store but it was difficult to find things because it was not very organized when I visited. Again a lot of foot traffic. Customers pick up and place things out of order but it was disorganized. I might have to go again.

Good service. Didn't find curtains in size I needed but found other great items and great prices. Awesome Christmas selections.
