“Evelyn is a treasure with a smile that lights up the store. Not sure why my past review is gone but it wasn't a pleasant experience. It's about her character that overfills to her work ethic and situational awareness.”

Danny goes above and beyond to assist customers and makes sure everyone leaves satisfied. His positive attitude and dedication make a big difference. Dollar Tree is lucky to have such an upstanding employee!”

“We was able to get what we needed but the wait time was crazy. The cashier ( name tag said GET) called 3 times for help and when the other cashier came she had an attitude. Before I left I let her know that she was doing an amazing job despite the lack of help.”

“I was impressed with this Dollar Tree because the store was very clean and orderly. Although there were some empty shelves, most shelves were stocked and items were neatly displayed. There were no boxes in the aisles like most Dollar Tree stores I have visited. Their staff were very polite and helpful including the cashier. There was a large parking lot with plenty of parking including parking spaces with people with Disabilities. I would highly recommending visiting this store.”

“This place is the best store I ever Been to. They are so friendly they treat you like family. Every time I come to this store it makes my day. He has the best clothes and at the best prices. He sells Islamic decorations at the best prices. The Islamic decoration we bought where only 14.00 witch is very cheap for the quality. Usually at other stores it’s like 999% increase for the items he sells. This store is also the cheapest store that I ever been to.”

“As a Dollar Tree it's solid, shelves are stocked and it's kept really neat and clean. The reason I'm giving it five stars is because of the wonderful, wonderful lady at the register! I wish I had asked her name but I just want her to know that I think she made everybody's day a little bit brighter and happier with her positive and kind personality! I'm coming back to this location even though it's out of my way simply because of how nice everyone is there ? Btw it's Thursday afternoon/2:30pm so the store knows about which employee I'm referring:)”

3521 W Devon Ave, Chicago IL 60659
“Review written 1/17/2026. There was only one register open with long lines. Also a lot of the prices on items in this store seemed higher than other dollar trees, even with the recent increases across all dollar trees. But overall, great selection Also I recommend bringing a bag otherwise you will have to pay the city of chicago bag fee and bag tax”

5222 W Grand Ave #5226, Chicago IL 60639
“I went to this store and was amazed at how clean, organized and well merchandised the store is. Yeah, if you know, you know, most Family Dollars are a hot mess BUT not this one. While in there shopping, I heard customers being checked out inform the cashier that they too were impressed. When I got to the register I said it too. It just so happen to be the store manger that was cashiering. I can tell it meant a lot to hear this from the customers. She told me she is the store manager and has been at that location for 3 years. She didn't want her location to be what we have come to expect of a Family Dollar. I mean, merchandising and organization was never on my expectations when I walked into them but it is what I found at this location. I hope she recognized. She seemed to be the only employee working. Well done. Keep up the good work and thank you for raising YOUR bar. Family Dollar in Chicago on Grand/off of Laramie.”

The store offers an impressive selection of everyday essentials, household items, snacks, party supplies, seasonal décor, and craft materials, all at very affordable prices. The aisles are usually well organized, making it easy to find what I need quickly. The staff is friendly and efficient, and checkout is fast. It’s a perfect store for saving money while still finding useful and fun items every visit.”

“I recently visited a Dollar Tree location, and I was genuinely impressed by how clean and well-organized the store was from the moment I walked in. Many people expect discount stores to be a bit cluttered or chaotic, but this Dollar Tree completely defied that stereotype. The floors were spotless, the aisles were tidy, and every shelf looked thoughtfully arranged, making it incredibly easy to find exactly what I needed without feeling overwhelmed. What stood out most was how neatly the products were grouped by category. Seasonal items were displayed in an attractive, easy-to-browse layout, while everyday essentials like cleaning supplies, snacks, and personal care items were clearly labeled and fully stocked. It made the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable, almost more like a boutique discount store than a typical dollar shop. The checkout area was also clean and efficiently managed. Even when a small line formed, the staff moved things along quickly, all while keeping their stations organized and free of clutter. That level of attention to detail really added to the overall positive atmosphere of the store. Overall, this Dollar Tree exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness, organization, and thoughtful layout made shopping simple, fast, and surprisingly pleasant. I’ll definitely be returning.”

“Compared to other local Dollar Trees, within the area, this one is the one to go to. They have a self check out area, so you won't have to wait for cashiers like the other locations. This location is very well clean & organized & the shelves are stocked. A welcoming atmosphere! Overall I am happy to co.e a further distance for a better Dollar tree.”

“They always close early. Today I went in at 9:35, grabbed everything on my list, and went to the register around 9:50. I couldn't find anyone working, so I intermittently called out Hello?? While I waited at the register for ten minutes. Finally, I heard the kid working and asked if I could pay, but he said no, he closed 5 minutes ago (so at 9:55). Yeah, it's just five minutes, but if there are people shopping, don't don't close the freaking store down with customers still inside. Edit one year later: I haven't experienced them closing early for about six months (and I've been going a lot). Love all the people who reguarly work here.”

“Dollar Tree is a great place to find affordable everyday items and fun seasonal products. I love that everything is budget-friendly, which makes it easy to pick up party supplies, snacks, cleaning products, and small household essentials without spending much. The store usually has a wide variety of items, and I often find surprisingly useful things for crafts and kids’ activities. It’s especially helpful for last-minute needs or when you’re planning events on a budget. That said, the store can sometimes feel a bit crowded or understocked depending on the day, but the staff is generally friendly and helpful. Overall, Dollar Tree is a convenient and economical option for quick shopping trips and budget finds.”

“Pretty good spot to browse for your needs. Sometimes there are surprising finds such as large Tetra brand doughnut shaped airstones for my fish. Good spices, kitchen gadgets, cleaning supplies and food storage options. Worth a shot for a lot of things.”

“Very clean dollar store - a little more expensive than other ones but again very clean and organized, and it was a former CVS so you really feel that vibe when you go in it versus it feeling like a dollar store.”

“This is the BEST Dollar Tree not based on the selection of products even though they have a decent assortment but the staff here is OUT OF THIS WORLD AWESOME! I would like to personally call out Vik, who is so kind and always go above and beyond, Habib who is has excellent customer service skills and is pure comedy he has a great sense of humor and the very sweet Hispanic woman who goes out of her way every time you walk into this location. This is the BEST crew this location has had hope Dollar Tree keeps them!”
