“This is the thing I love about Coles and why our next purchase will be from them: each person is kind and has the training, knowledge, and, most important of all, the authority to actually solve problems, not merely be sympathetic about them. Great place. I highly recommend them. I needed a favor, a seemingly simple favor but a favor nevertheless. I called all the big box stores. They were, for the most part, kind and, in an odd way, responsive: they killed me with encouragement. But after three weeks of encouraging phone calls with Customer Service agents and managers alike, and unanswered phone calls and promised but unreceived emails from the folk who might could actually do the favor, I was no where but two weeks behind: everyone said this should be possible but no one could do it, despite being willing to. Remarkably, it was an Orange Big Box Customer Service agent in rural Kansas who lead me to Coles. She said to me, "When I needed this I called my local furniture store." I said, "There aren't any anymore where I'm from." I was wrong. It took 24 hours. I found Coles on my first online search and was embarrassed to realize they have been in my neighborhood a few decades longer than I have. I got Kevin first call, first ring. He said, "No problem," and put me in touch with Charles. Who responded promptly by email. And by the next day I was on the phone with Mark on one of the trucks. Problem solved. And then some. Most big purchases I dread. The research. The feeling all along that the house has rigged the game no matter how hard I work. My next big purchase I am actually looking forward to because it will be from Coles.”
“Great selection (mostly online but decent in-store), great service, speedy delivery. Sarah in sales was super responsive. I started my renovation project at Studio 41 near Merchandise Mart (near my job) and in Lincolnwood (near nothing) and while the team in Lincolnwood was MUCH nicer than the folks on Hubbard (it wouldn't take much) there wasn't nearly the responsiveness and pricing transparency that I got at Ferguson. I was initially very overwhelmed by by master bath rehab- Sarah was easy to work with and worked well with my contractor to replace a Kohler tub that arrived with minor damage. Totally a 5 star experience”

It ok when you coming to buy small stuff but it when you buying stove and dryer the big stuff that when you have problems they mounted the stove to close to window melt the blinds I was told fire it hazardous, call try to get the worker to remove it from being so close to they said no, now we buy a dryer from here the worker put sliver or duck tape on everything I don’t him to use clips he refuse then use that duck tapes on everything few day later all that mess came a loose call the store try get somebody help I got hang up the girl on the phone didn’t know nothing I had to go store buy a clip and paid a family hood the dryer up right. I paid for insurance not work out with Home Depot.”

“As a family, we’ve purchased two washing machines, one dryer, two refrigerators and a freezer from here over the last 12 years or so. The newest washing machine happened just four days ago, a nice LG model that came highly rated and minus one small dent in the back, looks and works perfectly as of now. We saved somewhere around $350 off the lowest “new” price in other places and $125 off the lowest sale price I saw over the last 6 months. Our oldest purchase is the dryer that we have now had for that 12 year period. Granted, we take very good care of it due to lessons learned in proper maintenance but it’s still working very well with no complaints. If you don’t mind the small cosmetic issues, I would recommend checking them out. They close at 6pm most days so just plan accordingly.”
“This particular Menards is the largest Menards store I've come across. It's 2 stories and there's just about everything under the sun and stars in here.
They always seem to have the 11% rebate, maybe that's just a regular promotion now.
Parking is plentiful and ample handicap spots for patrons with disabilities.
Losing 2 hours in here isn't completely out of the ordinary.”

She was a one of a kind professional and personable customer service rep who went ABOVE AND BEYOND, INCLUDING POST INSTALLATION FOLLOW UP. I can't say enough good things about her, and hope that she gets recognized accordingly. In addition, upon return of my excess materials, and a drawn out discussion, I have to also say that Claudia, and Manager Raquel, also went above and beyond to help me with the challenging credit to my original purchase. All these ladies are the reason that I, and hopefully thousands others, will do business with your store, because they truly make a difference, which I know is the reason that I will remain a committed customer. Reasonable prices.A year since I wrote this review, give or take, and I generally no longer go to Home Depot and Countryside Illinois because it appears multiple staff changes have caused the service in a variety of departments to diminish. They seem to be much more helpful at the local Menards. as long as I go to Home Depot in Countryside Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM I could expect reasonable help with better than average expertise. If I go at other times when I try not to if I go at all the staff working there to be poorly trained, particularly in lumber, plumbing, electricity, gardening, but the checkout is generally quick and easy.”
“I remodeled my basement a few years ago, and my contractor and I bought everything at the Elston Ave. Home Depot. A few weeks ago, I wanted to buy a back door. I called Home Depot several times, but the phone system is not good, and I couldn't get through to the department. I came in and spoke to someone, but she didn't give me the correct information. I came back the following day to speak to a manager. His name is Prince, and he is truly a Prince. He told me that I would have a discount on the door to make up for the poor customer service that I had experienced. He also gave me his cell number. Ultimately, they didn't have the door that I wanted, and I called and told him that I had found what I needed at Menard's. He told me that I could pick out some things to make up for the lack of customer service. I came in a few days later, and got a whole lot of cleaning supplies! He kept telling me to take more! I was a 78 year old kid in a candy store! Prince is truly a Prince, and a smart manager. I do hope that they can improve upon the phone system. However, I will keep coming back and ignore the poor phone service. The customer service is great! Thank you, Prince!”
