“? A Thank You That Truly Matters ?
I want to take a moment to publicly thank Blue Ribbon Meat Market and its owner for doing something that truly matters in our community.
I just heard about the most wonderful thing about this business—and it deserves to be shared.
So many times, businesses come into our neighborhoods—especially African American and other minority communities—and we show up for them. We spend our dollars consistently. We support them faithfully. We help keep their doors open.
Yet when we have a product or service, too often those same businesses won’t even give us a try. Not a test order. Not a conversation. Not an opportunity.
That’s why this moment deserves recognition.
Blue Ribbon didn’t just take from the community—they gave back. They made the intentional decision to try their commercial dish detergent from Edit Enterprise LLC, and in doing so, they invested financially into a local, minority-owned business from the very community that supports them.
That choice matters.
That decision speaks volumes.
That action helps build real economic equity.
Supporting local isn’t just about where your building is—it’s about who you choose to support, who you create opportunities for, and whether you circulate dollars back into the community that sustains you.
If you haven’t supported Blue Ribbon Meat Market yet, go support them—because they support us.
So thank you to Blue Ribbon for:
• Being open-minded
• Being intentional
• Supporting local and minority-owned businesses
• Showing what real community partnership looks like
This is how trust is built.
This is how communities grow stronger.
This is how meaningful change happens.
Thank you for setting an example—and for showing that giving back isn’t just a slogan, it’s an action.

“We LOVE this store. The prices, quality of meat, and customer service. The selection is amazing --there's definitely something for everyone and the website is just as great! We're waiting for corporate to bottle that Peri Peri sauce but the chimichurri seasoning is a great addition.”
