The Emerson Apartments offers brand new studio, one and two bedroom contemporary apartment homes in the historic and affluent Village of Oak Park, Illinois. The community is located just west of downtown Chicago, providing an ideal rental alternative with abundant walkable retail, recreation, and entertainment options, all less than 15 minutes from the Loop via Metra Commuter Rail and less than 30 minutes via CTA "L" trains. Residents generally praise the friendly staff, the dog-friendly policy, and the excellent location with great walkability and quick access to public transportation. The building's amenities and common spaces are also well-received. However, the reliability of the elevators has been a consistent concern, with one or both elevators frequently out of service for extended periods, leaving tenants to climb up to 20 flights of stairs to access their apartments. While the building is described as very nice, the elevator issues and declining cleanliness of public areas have led to a deterioration in the overall value proposition for long-term residents. The staff's ability to effectively respond to these problems also seems limited. Despite these challenges, new tenants have reported a smooth transition and an overall positive experience in their initial weeks at The Emerson Apartments.
I’d like to draw attention to Eric Gallegos who works in Maintenance at the Emerson. Simply fantastic. He’s saved the day on more than one occasion. Always cheerful and on the ball. And gets it done. Note: my name is Omar R and I’m a current resident at the Emerson.

One of the two elevators has been out of service more than 50% of the time i have lived here.
Two weeks later and the same elevator is still out of order. Great building otherwise but a hassle for a building this large to have one operational elevator

I recently visited the Emerson Apartment Complex and was greatly surprised as how clean and well equipped the buildings are. Eric was very polite and professional in explaining the amenities and the area.
