Her customer service was impeccable and absolutely amazing. Her communication was very professional and she gave her all. Nick was also very helpful and a great bartender. “A great place for a picnic! There are portapotties, lots of parking, and plenty of picnic tables. There’s some nice trails close by to hike. Just be aware that you must leave by sunset!! My friends and I were slapped with some hefty tickets because we didn’t know this rule!”

“I really enjoy taking evening walks here in their walking path. Plenty of families here with their kids playing or participating in their favorite sport. In the summer time they have music in the park with live bands playing today’s hits or old time favorites. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music.”

“Sawmill Sports Hub is basically the Disney World of suburban sports—minus the mouse ears and plus the smell of gym floor cleaner. It’s a big, shiny, newer facility with a full-sized soccer field, multiple volleyball courts, and basketball courts so nice you’ll be tempted to lace up and relive your “glory days” (before remembering your knees are not what they used to be).
There’s plenty of seating for all the helicopter parents, so you can hover over your kid’s every move in comfort. Bonus points for the prime people-watching—nothing like seeing a dad go full NBA coach over an 8-year-old’s rec league game.
And when the inevitable “I’m huuungry” hits—whether it’s your kid or you—the concession stand is right there to save the day. They’ve got snacks for post-game celebrations, mid-game bribery, or just stress-eating through overtime.
Overall, it’s clean, spacious, and well-run. Whether you’re here for soccer, volleyball, basketball, or just to perfect your sideline commentary, Sawmill delivers.

“I attended a special event at the Mansion with Geoffrey Baer for WTTW. The place is very cool. Some of the rooms have been restored to their original furnishings and some are bare. The library, chapel, and hidden staircase are highlights of the mansion. The weather was not good for outdoor activities on the day of my visit, but the grounds are nice and would make a great place for a walk on a nice day.”

“As bowling alleys are falling 1 by 1 regularly, this center does a good job taking care of the lanes and machines while upgrading everything else and staying Modern. Managed well with reasonable prices. Great for league, open bowling and parties.”

“Sokol is so cool. I was a member of Sokol Tabor when I was a kid. My mother in law has always been in Sokol her whole life. My kids will be entering tumbling tots come registration period. It's a family fitness gym, activities include: competetive volleyball, gymnastics, calisthenics, dance and more. I camped at Sokol camp as a youth in upstate New York. You make life long friends, memories and connections through this amazing orginization. Czech it out ;)”

“I would like to start my review by saying "HELLO DARLING." This was an interesting shop for me because I was unsure whether this shop would have anything for me. But, upon suggestions, I ventured to this shop. I was in this area previously but never knew that there was a hidden gem (shop) in the area. Where were you "The Darling Shop"? Upon entering the store, the store associate welcomed me by placing a white disco ball necklace around my neck (I felt like I was given a medal for partying hard lol) and handed me the goodie bag. She was sweet and patient. As a part of the event, the goodie bag had white disco ball necklace, pink disco ball drink tumblers, facial cleansing wipe, nail polish and some stickers. She explained to me a little history about the store. It blew me away when I knew that this store sells their goods from local area small businesses, people etc. The Darling shop is a stage for all these mini businesses where every product is made with minute detail. This was my first surprise. The store had party stuff, women's fashion, baby stuff was on the right side from the counter, home goods, sunglasses on the left side to the wall and many more. There was one section where they had various kinds of greeting cards. There were a variety of things in the store. My first look was that it was a store for women but as I went around for a bit then it was eye-catching when I saw they had a small section for men which was my second surprise. They had Men's accessories, clothing, and grooming. Upon looking, I bought a black pair of socks for myself. To sum up, the store was cool with such a variety of daily goods. I could not get to meet the owner NIKKI, but the store instantly gives you happy vibes with all the positive quotes around the store and for the stuff they are selling. I also checked out their website which was great, but the only recommendation is it would be nice if the font color is white (other color) on top and bottom of the website as it can be more visible. I would recommend my friends to explore this store. Lastly, for me, THE DARLING STORE = INSTANT HAPPINESS.”
“I got married here 14 yrs ago before the fire..The sisters that own it our awesome..Total honesty with all charges..I'm having a party this weekend..8/25. I hope Joann can make this as nice as possible..money is tuff but I may have a massive party in the next 2 yrs..God bless the owners and staff. Highly recommend”
“Absolutely loved this place. They have a gallery in the museum where you can purchase the art and support local artists. The gallery is free to enter, but the art exhibits (side from the outside art) require an entrance fee. They change out the art every couple of months.”

What I was surprised about was that they also have a cocktail menu, because it's 5'o'clock somewhere right?! My son really liked their frozen hot chocolate and wants to go back for more! “I recently had a party thrown here for me, and it was so glamorous from the decorations to the chair covers to the tablecloths and the lighting. The venue alone is simply so authentic and gorgeous. There’s no other hall like this place. I highly recommend this place the atmosphere the vibes the decor there is no match for a unique experience like this. “We recently hosted our Son's 4th birthday party at BIG and it was a huge hit! We had 30 kids under the age of 8 and the staff was so accommodating to all ages! So many parents said it was one of the best birthday party venues they have been to and that after, their kids asked to have their party there too. We will definitely be back!”

“Really good value. Rooms were large enough to accommodate 2 people. Queen size bed was comfortable. Kitchenette was handy. Would definitely come back. They were under construction at time. Which is good. Elevators were not functioning. But that was understandable. Staff was available to carry bags up the stairs. Breakfast was really good. No problems there. Very pleasant experience.”
