“This whimsical store is an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, my preteen daughter was captivated, exclaiming she wanted to own 'the whole shop!' It's a place where you can happily lose yourself for hours, as every shelf and display is brimming with character and holds a charming new discovery. The local jazz band Quintessence was playing this particular night which was an extra treat :)”
“We have purchased Christmas lawn decorations for the past years. This year we had some difficulty in putting one together and as it turned out, we had broken it. It was not repairable. The owner replaced the decoration even though it was over a year old and the break was our fault. Sal has wonderful customer service presence.We love these wind-driven decorations. You can see them in front of his store. They hold up to Illinois winters very well. This year we didn't put our outdoor lights up. And these decorations show up well at night and during the day. Our grandchildren love them and so do our neighbors. I highly recommend The Back Porch for both quality of product and the service of the management.”

“This place is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Barrington. If you are looking for a gift or simply something to spoil yourself, Angelina is a one stop shop. The staff is always helpful and the ambience is very inviting. I cannot wait for my next trip to Barrington to visit Angelina again.”
“Decent little place, ladies that work there are friendly. Owner REALLY needs to introduce electronic receipts to their shop though, also the store hours posted here online were wrong when I visited (and are still incidentally) as they actually close at 6p apparently, not 5p. Just an fyi if you plan on visiting, still recommend, definitely a place worth checking out if you're downtown here.”
“We needed last minute souvenirs and we searched Love Chicago store st a Schaumburg Illinois mall. They have everything that a souvenir shop has and a little cheaper. “I see all the negative reviews and am surprised. I had a positive experience with this place. I placed my order at 9 AM and it was ready for pickup at the scheduled time. The fruit looked fresh. The only thing is that the location has moved so it is not at the address listed, it is in the plaza but around the corner from the spot Google Maps takes you to. I can assure you that this location is indeed open, you just might have to call if you can’t find it when you first pull in. They get five stars because it was straightforward and no issues, that’s all I can ask for.”
