“I have already spoken with management, but I also wanted to leave a review.
When I first called to ask about immediate openings, the staff was incredibly accommodating and fit me in within 15 minutes. My first appointment went very well, and I truly felt like a princess. We ordered my dress with expedited shipping, and I was given an estimated arrival date, so I made other arrangements based on that timeline.
For my second appointment, I had discussed a specific budget range over the phone. However, when I arrived, there seemed to be some miscommunication. The stylist was kind and clearly trying her best, but many of the dresses shown were outside my budget, in much smaller sizes, or different from the style I had requested. I would have appreciated more upfront communication if there were limited options within my price range.
Unfortunately, due to communication issues between multiple stylists and some misunderstandings regarding timelines, my dress did not arrive before I needed to leave for my first wedding ceremony. This was understandably frustrating. However, after speaking directly with management, the manager took the time to listen, apologize, and work through what happened with me. I appreciated her willingness to take responsibility and help find solutions, and help which is why I am giving 4 stars instead of a lower rating.
I also love that Eighth Avenue Villager hosts trunk shows, making it possible to access a wide variety of beautiful dresses without having to travel far.
My biggest suggestion would be to ensure that important details are clearly communicated among all stylists when a customer is working with multiple team members. Overall, the staff was kind and helpful, but better communication would have made the experience much smoother and my current season a little less stressful.”
