“My wife and I stayed at this little hotel in Red Bud during our mini "staycation." If you're into thrifting, or doing some St Louis shopping, or even if you're working and need a nice clean place to stay, this place is PERFECT. I have traveled all over the USA and I have stayed in all kinds of places, from the Plaza Hotel to the Pine tree Inn, and this little place is my kind of place, a family run hotel, always checking to see if you need anything, and it is SAFE and VERY CLEAN! And the best part is, you're only a 30 minute drive to anything you need, Waterloo, Belleville, St Louis and you can get there in no time, and don't have to stay in the city (which I do not recommend)

“I highly recommend the Conner House BnB in Prairie Du Rocher. From the wonderfully comfortable bed, the beautiful soaking clawfoot tub, the festive Christmas decorations to the sumptuous breakfast- our entire stay of 2 days was just perfect. We went on a little trip for my husband's birthday. I googled top BnBs in Illinois and Conner house came up twice. I'd never been to SW Illinois so I gave it a try. This restored grand home is beautifully decorated! And clean! I am a clean freak so it met all of my expectations and more! Connie is such a warm host. She taught us so much about the French founding and history of the town. I never knew we had French history in Illinois! The ferry ride at Modoc is a must, as is visiting St. Genevieve across the river. Do not miss the French fort of Fort Du Chartes. It was December 21 when we visited and has the place to ourselves! If you like BnBs, you must Stay at Conner House!”
