“My granddaughter and I got to share a delightful experience, painting and interacting with the macaw who visited the studio. We also got to observe and learn about other birds from the naturalist who adopted them all. Everything was so well planned and ran smoothly. Lynn, the painting instructor, was very patient and encouraging. The studio was bright, colorful, and comfortable. The owner was present and often involved. Everyone went out of their way to make it a great experience.”
“My first time at Him & Her Vintage was for my book club meet up. It is such a beautiful space. You walk in and you feel at home.
When it came time to plan my Sister-in-Law's baby sprinkle, I knew I wanted to have it here. Thankfully, the day I had in mind was available. As soon as the guests arrived, they complimented the space and decor. I didn't have to do much besides set up food and games.
Myriam was so easy to communicate with. She answered any questions I had. I can't wait to host another event here.”

“An AMAZING venue! The space is light, airy, and cozy while offering so much potential for customization. With many services being BYO, each event holds uniqueness and intimacy. The addition of provided DJ services, a photo booth, and design services, among others eased stress. The patio area is such a nice space for a little escape and offers a great area for kids to play. The staff was responsive and timely. We are grateful for their assistance in making our big day a dream come true! 🤍”
“We are so grateful to have had our wedding at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association (NCCA)! Woody and his team were wonderful to work with - from first touring the venue to clean-up the morning after. Set in the beautiful neighborhood of Oak Park, the NCCA is surrounded by community parks and historic homes by Frank Loyd Wright. We also had easy access to the local hotel to host our guests overnight. This wedding venue is reasonably priced with true historic charm. The food and beverages were excellent. We held our ceremony/cocktail hour on the first floor and reception on the second floor, comfortably accommodating our guest count of 175 people. Woody is responsive and flexible. He is willing to support creative endeavors to make your wedding feel original. We feel so fortunate to have found the NCCA to host our wedding - we would absolutely recommend it to you!”

Not to mention, she's extremely talented and knowledgeable in her craft. “A great place for a picnic! There are portapotties, lots of parking, and plenty of picnic tables. There’s some nice trails close by to hike. Just be aware that you must leave by sunset!! My friends and I were slapped with some hefty tickets because we didn’t know this rule!”

This place isn’t just a venue — it’s history, it’s community, it’s the kind of spot where memories stack up over decades. I’ve been coming here for 20+ years, and there’s nothing quite like walking through those doors and feeling the energy of everything that’s happened inside.
And for wrestling fans? This place was legendary.
Watching AAW Wrestling shows here was something special. The crowd right on top of the action, the noise, the chants — it felt like you were part of the show, not just watching it. Absolute chaos in the best possible way.
And then… last night.
Being there to see Seth Rollins — yeah, Seth Freakin Rollins — in a place like this? Unreal. One of those moments where you just stop and think, “This is why we come to shows.” The kind of memory that sticks with you forever.
Which makes it even harder to hear that shows might not be coming back here.
That one hurts.
Because places like the Berwyn Eagles Club aren’t just buildings — they’re part of the fabric of the community. Generations of fans, decades of events, and countless unforgettable nights. Losing wrestling here doesn’t just mean losing a venue… it means losing a piece of something bigger.
We need to find a way to bring the shows back. Future fans deserve to experience what we’ve had for years. The energy, the passion, the pure magic of a packed house on wrestling night.
This place has given us so much over the last 20+ years — it deserves to keep doing that for the next 20.
Pro tip: If you ever had the chance to catch a show here, you already know. And if there’s any way to bring it back… we should make it happen. 🦅💥”
“I really enjoy taking evening walks here in their walking path. Plenty of families here with their kids playing or participating in their favorite sport. In the summer time they have music in the park with live bands playing today’s hits or old time favorites. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music.”

“We hosted my son’s first birthday here because it has a very cozy yet large feel. Simon worked with me to make sure I had plenty of time to decorate, and dealing with issues that arose. My guests were very impressed with the venue and I was able to make my vision come true for the birthday party. The music, lighting, and tech, and access were all easy to figure out. Thank you!”
“Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge is a very nice place. The Harold Zook house and studio next to it have great architectural significance. You can't go in the house, but the outside is very impressive.”

The space was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully arranged to create a warm and comforting atmosphere for my family and my guests. They have two parking lots to handle overflow of guests. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend.”

This is the place to celebrate. The staff does everything from setting up the birthday table, supplies, your own private helper who serves the food and cleans up. It was awesome! All you have to do is show up, bring in your cake and sing! Seriously - this is the place to be to make every birthday a day to remember. Kuddos to Kim (our helper) and Bill, the Manager! “I attended a special event at the Mansion with Geoffrey Baer for WTTW. The place is very cool. Some of the rooms have been restored to their original furnishings and some are bare. The library, chapel, and hidden staircase are highlights of the mansion. The weather was not good for outdoor activities on the day of my visit, but the grounds are nice and would make a great place for a walk on a nice day.”
“Tessarae is such a warm, inviting place full of the kindest people. We had my daughter's birthday party there and it was a great experience. The environment was very inviting and comfortable, our group of teens had a really fun time doing a painting lesson together.
