The Holiday Inn Rock Island - Quad Cities by IHG offers a convenient location with several nearby walkable restaurants and the river across the street. While the hotel is in need of some updates, the rooms are well-maintained, and the staff is generally friendly and attentive. The on-site restaurant provides good-sized portions and a relaxing environment, though the food quality can be hit-or-miss. Overall, the hotel provides a decent experience, with a standout staff member, Mason, at the front desk, who demonstrates exceptional hospitality and compassion.
Today I witnessed an act of compassion by Mason at the front desk. Yes, this is the hospitality industry and it could be argued he “did his job”, but too many don’t anymore, and his spirit is exceptional. Thank you Holiday Inn, you’ve got a great representative in Mason. Bravo Zulu.

It's nice that there are several walkable restaurants nearby and the river is across the street, but the hotel is in need of a bit of a refresh. Our room wasn't outdated, but had some years on it, and the pool was definitely in need of some updates.
