The Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a large store offering a wide variety of bargain-priced home goods. New items arrive every day, even every hour, so the selection constantly changes. Shoppers can find tools, antiques, household appliances, furniture, materials, doors, windows, and other essentials for home improvement or moving into a new place. The store is well-displayed with both heavily and lightly used items, and different sections have daily discounts. Prices are noted to be very low, providing many deals. The staff is described as excellent, friendly, and helpful. The ReStore also schedules daily pick-ups for donations and has a convenient drop-off, encouraging people to keep items out of the landfill. This supports Habitat for Humanity's work in the Rockford community. It is located south of Cherryvale Mall off Harrison Avenue and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.
I donated a sectional couch to them. I liked that they didn't charge to come pick it up. The lady I talked with was nice. The guys picking up the couch appreciated that I had it cleaned up and ready for them in the garage. Overall great experience.

Had them pick up some furniture and it was easy to do. A little phone tag involved but not too bad. Then they hauled away the furniture. They don't want your garbage or damaged stuff because no one wants that. I have also gotten some good stuff from there as well.
