About Abis Market
Abis Market is a local business that offers a combination of a grocery store and a restaurant serving African cuisine. Customers can shop in a clean, well-organized market that features a wide selection of African groceries, snacks, and imported items at fair prices. The owner is known for being friendly and making customers feel at home, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant serves dishes like jollof rice with chicken, okra soup, fufu, goat soup, pounded yam, and egusi. Many visitors enjoy the food, describing it as delicious and authentic, especially for those trying African cuisine for the first time. However, some customers have experienced issues with food preparation, such as receiving food with meat and bones despite requests for no meat, leading to disappointment and frustration. One customer shared a negative experience where they were promised a meat-free dish but found meat and bones in their food after returning twice. Despite such incidents, the overall reviews reflect that the food is generally appreciated and the market is a neat place to shop for African groceries. Overall, Abis Market is a friendly spot known for good food and a well-stocked market, though experiences with food accuracy can vary.

I came here with my partner and I had the jollof rice with chicken and he had the okra soup. If we lived closer we would definitely come back to try more food. While we waited we were able to shop at their market. The market was clean and well organized.

The food is great (although the portions are a bit smaller these days) and the grocery store is quite neat. The owner is a really friendly guy and makes everyone feel at home. Great selection of African groceries, snacks, and other random things. The items are fairly priced considering that they are mostly imported.
