“My wife and I brought our 6/7yr DSH/Blue mix for a physical and vaccines. This was our first visit to Village Veterinary Clinc. We choose them becuase of an incident with a previous clinic from three years earlier. That and the reviews I had seen for Village Veterinary were fantastic. It is little bit of a smaller building on the inside but that is nice since each exam room is cozy and well-thought out. The room allowed Gary our cat to explore and try to get comfort for his visit. Kerry and Karyn at client reception are very friendly and efficient. Our Veterinary nurse Valerie was a sweetheart. She loved Gary and she knew how to position Gary and hold him in place for vaccines and blood work. I really appreciate that Valerie as kind as she was to Gary also knew how to take charge and keep him safe. That now brings me to to Dr Cindy Marks. Absolute compassionate doctor. Dr Marks took the time to listen to my wife and myself about our experience with a different vet clinic, and what turned us off of that vet clinic and what we were looking for in regards to Gary's comfort. The exam was not rushed Dr Marx gave Gary time to get as comfortable as possible in the exam room. Dr Marx allowed Gary to stay in the exam room, for the vaccines and the blood work. We were allowed to say in the room with him and there was no transportation to another area for that work where Gary could get scared and bite someone. My wife and I really appreciate the patience and the compassion shown to Gary to my wife and myself. Thank you Village Veterinary Clinic for putting both our minds at ease and restoring our faith in Veterinary Clincs!”

It was nice to see a team not afraid of my XL breeds and interacting with them although they are both reserved when meeting new faces. I'll be brining in my bullymix at the end of the month. “Wonderful truly caring staff. Dr Blackwell, Lori is amazing !! We found this office researching patellar luxation, floating kneecap, surgery. They took so much care and time with our pup he recovered fabulously. We had some lows of an advanced age beloved Maltese/bichon mix that had kidney disease and Dr Blackwell personal care and education and commitment to our dogs health was incredible and I am forever grateful. We also experienced the joy and all the routine visits with a new puppy and another generation I trust with the loving care of Lori Blackwell and her staff. My grand pups also go here now and several friends dogs.”

“I’m so thankful for this facility. They truly did help me in my Rabit and my time of need! As I sat around and called close to 10 other places to see if they could get a Rabit in for emergency care. The only place that actually answered was Best Friends Animal Hospital. Everyone who works there is so kind hearted and caring. They even have a direct number that you can text and they will get back to you within two hours. You’re allowed to send text and photos to them and they can help you out from when you’re at home. I actually will no longer be bringing my dog to its original vet. I will be transferring over to this wonderful place because the staff is so amazing.”

“This is the best vet office/hospital in the Chicagoland area. Private equity is not a thing here. Dr. Donna cares about her patients and will charge reasonable prices. We drive an hour to make sure our dog gets the care she deserves. For the people who are complaining about appointments etc, you don't know the cost of running a medical office. Yes I have to leave a voicemail message, but at least I can afford to take my pets here unlike everywhere else where they upcharge you on every little thing. Thank you Dr. Donna!”

One of our dogs has trust issues with humans, and Dr Thomas spent time with him to calm him down and gain his trust. Dr Thomas also asks great questions to make sure the vaccines we give our dogs makes sense, which saves us money! Definitely care more about our dogs than the bottom line.”

“Fox Lake Animal Hospital is a truly special place. When our dog needed mast cell tumor surgery, our animal hospital where we pay a membership quoted us $2,500 (also extra for x-rays and medications), with a month-long wait just to get on the schedule. We brought her to Fox Lake on a Friday and she was already booked for surgery the following Monday total cost just over $600. What stood out most is that this practice puts your pet’s care ahead of sales/profits. Every staff member and doctor we met was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely reassuring during a scary time. A couple of small notes: it’s first-come-first-served, so expect a longer wait to be seen, and we didn’t get a follow-up text they mentioned sending after surgery. Honestly, though, the savings and quality of care make any minor inconvenience completely worth it. If your pet needs care and you want a team that treats you like family instead of a wallet, I can’t recommend them enough.”
