“Dropped in for the 9:30 on 7/19. Great clean facility with great equipment. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable. Talked with us before the WOD and after genuinely wanting to get to know us. The coach explained and demonstratrd several scaling options for each movementThe other athletes attending the class also were kind, helpful, and talked with us getting to know us as well. Would recommend for anyone to make this their full time gym or drop in when in the area. We will be back next time we are in the st louis area. Thank you 557.”

“I have been coming to Fitness for the Soul and getting massages with Tabitha since day one! This is the ONLY place I come to for massage. I love the hot stone massage and cupping. My favorite is the deep tissue massage and I try to schedule 90 minutes or 120 minutes. I am always asking for gift certificates for my birthday, anniversary, and Christmas.I have also had the eyelash extensions (both classic and volume) and they have turned out amazing! If you are thinking about getting any of the services, stop! Call and book now. Right now!”

“Over the last decade I've worked with and trained at CrossFit gyms all over the country and a handful abroad.Iron House CrossFit holds it's own against all the heavy hitters. This gym is incredible. The coaches are experts. They are pros at dealing with people new to fitness at the same time as being pros dealing with experienced athletes. The facility is stocked with every bit of equipment any CrossFit workout needs. They have an impressive rig and enough bars and weights to train an NFL team. There is no shortage of non-traditional equipment too. Manual treadmill, Ski Ergs, GHDs, lifting blocks etc.We love the mix of laid back easy fun times and serious athletic knowledge.Huge thanks Corey, Nick and Lesley (and everyone else) for welcoming us in and making us feel at home!”

“Katy Howard has been such an amazing trainer while I was pregnant and now a year post-baby. Can’t recommend her enough!! Everyone at child watch is so sweet with my littles. Love the new layout of machines too - more room is a plus!”

“Excellent pool. I’ve been to a few swim meets here and they have been run very smoothly. Had a meet during the COVID-19 pandemic and they were not very strict about enforcing mask regulations, though. Bathrooms seem to always be clean and the pool deck as well. Seating is excellent but it can get a bit hot up there.”

“The staff are very friendly. The pad on their flat bench press is firm (which I enjoy). I have not seen many gyms with a frame (for frame carries); it's always nice to see a variety of equipment! Definitely stop by if you're in town.”

“They need to accept business from everyone who is interested in patronizing Shinobi Fitness. I tried providing suggestions. It seems like the suggestions were not appreciated. I did not agree to the Bujinkan Guidelines. I wanted to know do I need to agree to the Bujinkan guidelines if Iwant to do trial classes? The question never answered? I was asked to provide a link to a social media account. I do not have any social media accounts. I would like for the instructors to not be so selective and accept business from everyone. How can anyone keep a business in operation by refusing business from people?”

“I spend way too much time here! There's honestly so much one can do here. There's a pool, weight room, running track, basketball courts, rock wall, group fitness rooms etc. You can even rent out bikes for free!*Have to add that the facility is accessible to persons associated with SIUE (student, faculty, alumni etc). However, each person can bring in 1 guest.”

“Id like to address some of Petrofam3 claims as I believe that person to be new to the gym culture or just not know what this gym is about. I'd like to start by saying this gym is a power house gym!!! You need to understand this, it reminds me of dorian Yates gym in blood and guts but cleaner. This is a place for serious lifters. I've been here on and off for around 7 years. Your accounts are grandfathered in. The price you pay when you started is the price you pay today.... There are no back door deals as stated by petrofam3 ,some pros train free sure( cause they deserve it!) I know guys who have been going here for over 30 years and only pay 4$ a month.... That to me was awesome, I wasn't jealous though I've also never heard of the skin infection claims and I am fairly sociable among the crowd so I won't even address that as I don't believe it to be true. This gym was designed around pros and what the body needs!! You won't find a quarter of the equipment you'll find here at any of these daisy chain gyms we have in the area, and they are always adding new Machines!! Now to the gym and what it's really about. There's not a single window in the place, there's chalk dust literally everywhere, it gives of a kind of a dungeon vibe, theres animals walking around disguised like men. There's beastly crys as they lift over 500 lbs regularly.there's no such thing as a lunk alarm in this world. This is NOT i repeat NOT a place for soft and sensitive people. if you want a spotless gym this certainly isn't the place for you, but you will be able to asses this on your first walk threw before even signing up. One of the most welcoming places I've ever been with staff that treats you how you treat them, if they seam rude or reluctant to help you in any way I'd almost guarantee your simply a pain to deal with ‍ Over all I wouldn't change anything about this gym other then enforcing the stripping of the weights and re racking and the trash radio stations they play(supposedly being changed soon) It's not uncommon to have a majority of the weights on the floor or a squat bar loaded with 405+ but there's just so many people that come threw the doors it's hard to enforce so I understand. Otherwise it would be 5 stars in my book!! Best gym within 30 miles at the least, maybe more.”

“the Olympic swimming pool. the friendly staff. the child care area. the cleanliness of all areas and they help you answer any of your questions. you don't have to wait for a machine. if there's anything wrong they have fixed in in a timely matter. the full court gym is nice too, there's always kids playing basketball. I love seeing the kids do karate and sports!!! only one negative would be I miss the Jacuzzi after a workout!!!”

“I recently started going to Planet Fitness in Alton, IL, and I have to say that my experience has been excellent overall. The staff at this location is truly fantastic - they are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions or concerns. Their positive attitudes and willingness to assist make each visit enjoyable. One of the things I appreciate most about this Planet Fitness is that it isn't overcrowded with people, even during busy times. This allows me to work out in a more comfortable and less chaotic environment, which is great for staying focused on my fitness routine. While I have had a great experience at this location, I do wish that they would update their equipment to be compatible with Apple devices like some of the other Planet Fitness locations. It would be convenient to be able to easily sync my workouts with my Apple devices for tracking and monitoring purposes.Overall, I would rate Planet Fitness in Alton, IL a 4.5 stars. The exceptional staff, uncrowded atmosphere, and welcoming environment make it a standout gym in the area. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a positive and supportive fitness experience. I look forward to seeing any potential updates in the future and continuing my fitness journey at Planet Fitness.”

“In my opinion Nautilus has the best facilities in the area. It's a massive gym with multiple rooms for anything you need, a pool, hot tub, and saunas a long with clean changing rooms and showers. Only gripe is the restroom itself is a bit small but honestly it's not usually an issue.”
