Was not only sold the wrong console the first time we went in there. Then, went back to file a complaint. Then was sold the correct Xbox however it didn’t even work. It was completely useless to use. We had to return that. I do not recommend going here.

I spoke with Frank on the phone and asked a ton of questions. He was patient and help me by answering everything. Frank was very customer service driven and I will continue to shop at this location.

The employees at this store are lazy and could care less about the customer. I bought a headset for my son. The box very clearly states it’s a universal remote headset. It also states, as you can see in the pictures, that it should work for his PlayStation 5. I went back to the same store I purchased it from with the same employee working who sold it to us and knew it was for a PS5. They flat out refused to return it based on the fact that the box had been opened. I stated that because it does not connect universally as stated on the box that would deem it defective and returnable per their policy. He (claims he is the store manager) said he has nothing to exchange it with anyway and continued to refuse to do anything. When I stated I would contact corporate and also leave reviews about their lack of service they both mocked me and spottily stated, enjoy writing your review and laughed as a I left the store.
Bradley, the store manager at the Woodfield location was happy to actually do his job. He stated the headset I bought is not compatible with PS5 despite what the box says and the employee at the Schaumburg store should have known that and mentioned it before I bought it. He went out of his way to find a store that has a compatible headset and call their store manager to explain my situation and have him hold the correct headset for me. If the guy at this location with the small eye is truly the store manager he has no business being one because he lacks any sort of customer service skills and could clearly care less.
The entire store smells of body odor and is extremely off-putting on top of the poor people skills and lack of customer service.
Showed up at the Arlington Heights store to exchange it and they wouldn’t do it either and said they hadn’t heard from Bradley either so now I’m stuck with a headset my son cannot use.
This is why physical stores are closing and people would rather buy from amazon

Went in Sunday to buy a game from this location. I called the night before and was told they had 20 copies of it and they could not hold one for me. I asked if it will be on sale still and was told yes if I came in Sunday. I drove 30 minutes to get there and waited for the guy to open the store when it was a couple minutes after 11 he opened. I then went in and asked for the game and he told me that it is not that price anymore. I went and found the game and asked him why it is still marked the price I was told. He just said it won’t be that price no matter what. I walked out and didn’t buy anything

Honestly the worse GameStop ever, came here multiple times and they are always closed, either for lunch or for some reason. Then they advertise Closing at 8 but they are closed 1 hour early. Like stay to your schedule. Then you have the part where their system don’t work and they force you to pay with cash and are disrespectful. To add more, I bought something and asked what if I don’t like it, I was told I had 14 days to return. And they won’t accept the return and it’s been 3 days

First time coming to the store came to get a game at 7 PM. It was already closed. Be aware the hours are not accurate. Because this business cannot accurately display hours, I will take my business elsewhere

Decided to stop here after having a cruddy experience at the Bloomingdale Gamestop.
Came in, guy behind the desk was helping a mom and her kid. He was very thorough and was answering their questions and explaining some coupon issues they were having.
So I decided to just browse. Found the game I was looking for (Fallout 4) and went up to the register when he was done with the family before me.
I asked him if the copy would work on my system (Xbox One S) and he said yes, and explained my system is backwards compatible; so the game would work.
Good employee, thorough with answers and genuinely happy to help.

This location has gone downhill, twice I have been to the store and the internet was out one time resulting in the store being closed the second time being cash only, the staff is not knowledgeable about retro games they have in the store, needless to say there are better locations in the area to go to, will not be returning to this one
