We are a family of 5 from Canada so needed space. Finding Sonesta in Schaumburg was a godsend because it had space like mini-apartments with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. And it was situated in a perfect location in a very quiet and nice part of the Chicagoland area. A huge plus for us was the close proximity to the family events. The price wasn't bad either paying just around $400USD for 2 nights. The people at the front desk were new management, but were extremely nice (especially Saleem) and accommodating. The unit itself was nice with comfortable beds and clean kitchenette. There was some issues we found like the carpet seemed kind of old, and the baths weren't equipped with shampoos etc. And there was some weird smell as if the last people were cooking in there. And the morning breakfast was not fully stocked so it was kind of basic. The kids did complain that their beds, carpets, and headboards did have some stains on them. One of my main gripes is the positions of the washroom sinks which is outside the actual bathroom. I never liked nor understood this concept with hotels as as there really isn't enough privacy with multiple people in the unit to wash up and change clothes etc. Overall, Sonesta did the job and there is still room for improvement so we would still definitely recommend.

I stayed at this place for about a month and it was the most enjoyable hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life. From the way, everything is set up down to its people this place has everything you could want in a hotel you’re planning on staying for a while. The staff is extremely kind and remembers faces. I probably locked myself out of my room twice and it was no big deal each time. Overall, I highly recommend the Sonesta suites in Schaumburg.

My family stayed here while on vacation for 4 nights. The rooms are nice. We had the 2bedroom suite. There was plenty of room for the whole family and two fur babies. We were able to stock the fridge with groceries from the near by Target. We cooked breakfast every morning. They had the dishes we needed, including frying pan and spatula. There was dishwasher soap for 2 loads and fish detergent. There were not enough towels for my whole family, and they did not replenish them after a couple of days. But they have a laundry facility and we just washed what we needed. It’s $3.50 to wash or dry and everything is done on an app, including telling you what is available or how long is the wait. It’s was so helpful. I could was and pick up dinner at the same time. They had an outdoor pool and a basketball court. We had no issues with parking or noise. It was a great stay. We will definitely do it again in the future.
Rooms: 2 bedrooms/ 2 baths. 1 king and 2 queens. Livingroom space, dining table and full kitchen with a garbage disposal, dishwasher and full size range.
Nearby activities: There’s every restaurant imaginable. Shopping and entertainment. There Dave & Busters, movies, legoland. There are also parks with lakes nearby. Easy access to the interstate and not too much traffic.

This company is the very best company that I've ever experienced in about 45 years honestly.

My family and I are extremely disappointed in the service that was provided for us when we paid an entire months stay. Not only did our first room have mold in it, we were required to unpack all of our belongings that we brought in and moved it ourselves into the new room. With that, we needed an extension for another week post the 28 days and both Tori (sales director) and her GM provided the worst customer service I've ever experienced and were extremely rude to my family that is in need. Our children are sick and we asked for an extension and they didn't even empathize with us but rather lectured. You can clearly tell that this Sonesta is all about the money and has lost customer service. I asked to speak to the GM when Tori was extremely rude and transferred me mid sentence. I then got on the phone with the GM, who clearly has never ran a successful business in her life and she was just as rude and hung up on me. We were willing to pay whatever price we needed to pay to stay. You would think that a place like Sonesta would truly value their clients and customers, and provide a great experience, even though the first half was terrible you'd expect them to make it right. We had to follow up with them as well when we put in the request a few days ago as opposed to them calling us back. There is no initiative in this leadership team. It's truly sad. I am disappointed in this, and need to speak to someone in the highest ranking position above the GM and Tori to explain how they made us feel. As a leader myself, I can tell you right now they should not be running this company. I will never stay in another Sonesta again. I need someone in senior leadership to reach out to me ASAP. Thanks.

This place said double booked my room. I had to wait in the lobby for an hour and a half for them to figure this out. I get my room and it’s filthy was not cleaned from the minute. I walked in the doors to the minute I left. I was extremely upset and dissatisfied to stay as far away away from here possible stay at a motel six instead of this place.

Our suite was comfortable and very clean. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. Staff at check in and out were both very friendly. The breakfast was ample and quite good. I'll stay again when I'm in the area.

Nice place, more like Apartment stay with a front office. Breakfast is the same daily so not much change, not really fresh made but brown bag to go type items mostly. So early too and no flexibility for holidays. Stayed there over Thanksgiving. Generally staff is nice, it's clean, nice environment close to Woodfield Mall, other local businesses etc. Room keys never seem to work, though they can give as many as you want. Was told they are highly sensitive to temperatures etc. So if going out you put them in your pocket or purse, they stop working.
