“I’ve been shooting at that store more than 10 years and I love it now I would like to share my experience it’s such an amazing one stop to shop they have everything from the Middle East and more their price very reasonable compared to other places everything fresh the store very clean. The owner are wonderful. I recommend everybody to visit a shop from there.i wish Google has more than 5 starts but I will throw another 5 starts from me as a chef thanks allot brother’s grocery store”
“Incredible! The Sausage King of Chicago! Ordered the jalapeño sausage, hot italian sausage, and ghost pepper sausage for Da Bears tailgate party. Beyond amazing! Sal, one of the staff members, was incredibly friendly and very generous! Thanks again Sal! - I will 100% be back to try everything you guys sell!!”
“Nice selection of vegan goods and produce. I have occasionally gotten something less than quality in terms of vegetables.
Things to note is they do not take manufacture coupons, and can be a bit pricey for some every day items unfortunately.”
“Good selection of less-common meats and cuts (e.g. lamb shanks, duck, ground venison are things I've found there) at reasonable prices. It's a good middle ground between the grocery store and specialty butcher.”
“Go here now. Legit went in clueless… searching for the perfect steak taco recipe. They helped me with it all! Tenderized the meat, cut it perfectly up so it wasn’t a hassle later on, and they even had chopped up onion and cilantro packaged up. Icing on the cake (taco) was their fresh made salsa! . Thanks for the help! The tacos we made for dinner tonight were delicious!!”

““Authentic”-Kielbasa craving???
Look no further than Kurowski.
Never in all my years of shopping here
have I ever found an English-speaking-Polish-Foodie able to describe the differences of the +20 types of
Smoked-Sausages they make here
( & sell here as well).
It is a place that smells as good as it tastes.?
Their Hot Food bar offers a great Polish Lunch selection, as well as the refrigerated display case featuring my fav- a Carrot “Salad”/Slaw w/Raisins, as well as other pickled items and coleslaw.
Sadly, since The Pandemic they’ve stopped selling “bones” inna Blue-Plastic-Barrel.
The piggy bones were great to use for soups or stocks, & my Honduraino buddy literally drooled(& kissed me) over the “trotters”
I gifted him that were pulled-outta that
Blue Barrel.
The southern 1/2 of the stores sells all sorts of non-meat items from European Butter & Cheese to Dill Pickles inna barrel to
Gluten-Free-Breads made w/Sunflower Seeds!
“Pro-Tip”:: For your next picnic ( or cocktail gathering)- may I suggest getting
a few pairs of “Kabonosy” + also request a
2” thick slice (use Sign-Language-to-show-Thickness?) of their Smoked-Gouda Cheese ( pronounced-“How-dah”)>
and b4 your picnic cut into small cubes /slice the Kabonosy into lil bite-sizes> & toothpick-em-together! (Maybe go crazy& skewer a Gherkin on it too!)
(Insiders alert- on the top of
the Stainless counter, over by The scales are broken Kielbasa packaged and sold for
a steep discount)
A bit of Chicago Retail History, this address was formerly the home of “Animal Kingdom”
Pet-Shop.
Wanna Snake?
Wanna Lizard?
Wanna Ocelot?
Turtles-big and small?
Wanna goldfish ( to feed to the Turtle!?)
Even an occasional Capuccian Monkey ?
( think Organ Grinder)
All sorts of legit & questionable live animals used to be sold here
Kurowski Sausage is -
CHICAGO’s VERY OWN!”
“I shop here for meats and sausages for the grill. Great cuts of steaks for the money. Salads from the deli are very good too. The owner is very nice and cut the meat as I asked. There still is plenty for me to try here. No complaints worth the drive! AAA+”
“The new owners did a great job reorganizing the store and getting it cleaned up. The meat and groceries are very competitively priced. Sometimes, it can be hard to get a hold of someone on the phone. They also got rid of a lot of the processed meat selection that used to be available.Note: their Sunday hours are now 10 am to 5 pm.”
“This is the magical type of butcher and market that is vanishing all over the country. Thankfully, Paulina continues to push ahead with the finest selection and the customer service to go with it.”
“I absolutely love this place. In a world where everything is poison and toxic... its nice to know I'm eating meat that is sourced from farmers and healthy! I come here once every two months and stock up on some meat and bones. Highly recommend you at least check this place out!”
“Great place to get your favorite meats and not only. They have a nice variety of smoked meat, smoked sausage and even sweets. The owners always greet you with a smile on their face and it's always a pleasure to stop by. And BTW, they also deliver and ship cross country. I highly recommend Saravale Meat Market”
“This place is amazing! It's mainly Mexican style food. They have a hot food bar. They put it out "Fresh Everyday". If they fill up the food bar at 10am- by 1:30pm. Its only scrapes left because the food on is OMG, good food, very fair portions, and the price is right! Looking forward to returning for a few items.”
“The pastrami is to DIE for. We get the “house cut”. Warm it up in a pan at home but not too much. It melts in your mouth. We love pastrami and eat it and “rate it” everywhere we go and this is our favorite. I send it to my son out of state he misses it.”
“The selection is very wide, and so far anything we have purchased has turned out to be good quality. The staff checks on you regularly with a smile, and it is spotlessly clean.”
“Great prime meats...awesome service... everyone is very knowledgeable and customer oriented . .they been supplying us at the grill on the alley for a couple of years...”
“What a great local shop for fresh meats, eggs, dairy and more! I also got a beautiful freshly cut t bone steak Cannot wait to grill(on my ninja fryer grill) and feast!!!”
“The deli selections are amazing! You can get beef, chicken, to seafood! You also have a selection of seasonings, premade snacks or lunch, such as riceballs, fried chicken, or arroz con gandules!
They also have a bakery, selling baguettes, croissants, and more!”
“We love their food court! Affordable, healthy and delicious homemade Korean food. Very family-friendly and clean food court. The grocery store is great too! Good selection of Asian groceries.”

“Azaming, food bar the food is sooo good great prices, portions are like if I was my best Italian mother's just great food. Great service. I love it there. I tell all my friends to go there.
It's just great, Italian American food. I highly recommended”
“The absolute BEST hummus. The pita bread is fresh and comes in a large quantity. However, they run out kind of early.
I bought the chocolate rolls that were absolutely delicious. They'd be great with cinnamon, too.”
“Love Reagan Meats. I come in regularly to secure my monthly meat intake. Keil always takes care of me just right. The marinated skirt steak it top notch. ? Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality meats!”
“I go to Adrian's for everything. They've got all the protein rich food I need to gain muscle and all the drinks and chips that make me remember my time in Mexico. Whether I'm preparing food for myself or for a party or just trying to win the lottery, Adrian's is where I go.”
“Blue Ribbon was a dynasty from my mom when she moved here in 1961 she always shopped he meats from you all I still shop there to this very day Thanks for all the years of service ⭐️⭐️⭐️?”
“Made a delivery here. I was sitting down the street and they came to get me to let me know they are ready. Explained where to park from the street to unload. Lumper fee $300 if you're not able to help unload. Super nice guy. Street parking is a little sketchy but told me where to park to finish a 10hr break where know body will mess with you.”
“i purchased a toogoodtogo from this store and they gave me a bag full of inedible food that expired MONTHS ago (oldest item expired in july of 2022). the purpose of toogoodtogo is to stop good food from going to waste, not to turn a profit off of spoiled food that actually belongs in the trash. that's not the spirit of the app at all, and it's a real scummy thing to do.”
“While walking around town, we decided to stop by a local butcher shop for some goodies to make for dinner. We stumbled upon Al's and decided why not check it out! When walking in, to the right you'll have the authentic Italian pastas and the assortment of sausages in the freezer. The center of the store has a variety of condiments, most of which were sauces and rubs for barbecue. The remainder of the store were the meat counters. Al was helping us when we checked out. Please keep in mind it is cash only but there is an ATM in the store for your convenience!”
“High quality meat, wide selection, competitive prices, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not much else you could ask for in a local butcher shop. I’ll definitely be back soon”
