About Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum
The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is a single institution devoted to preserving President Lincoln's legacy and sharing it with the world. The library building houses millions of documents, photographs and artifacts, where experts track down new Lincoln material, repair and preserve old material, and share their knowledge. The museum tells Lincoln's story through state-of-the-art full-immersion exhibits, special effects theaters, and displays of original artifacts. Special exhibits rotate regularly on a range of fascinating topics. Visitors praise the museum's excellent organization, with well-laid out exhibits that chronicle Lincoln's life and legacy, from his humble beginnings to his presidency and the Civil War. The 3D show room, White House exhibit, and new AI moving images are highlights, and the staff is described as very nice and helpful. The museum provides an unforgettable, immersive experience that leaves visitors with a deeper appreciation of Lincoln's enduring impact. Touring the nearby Lincoln Home National Historic Site further brings history to life, allowing visitors to walk the same brick streets Lincoln did and stand where the "Great Republican Rally" was held in 1860.
I've heard for years how nice the Lincoln Museum is, and it lived up to the hype. We arrived too late to make it to the library too.

Interesting museum. Had a very good 17 minute movie. Was surprised by the few Lincoln artifacts.

I am an admitted Lincolnophile, so I am a little late in getting to the Lincoln Library and Museum in Springfield. It was a wonderful day well spent. The museum was very well organized with excellent, well explained exhibits. A highlight: the staff of volunteers was exceptional! Highly recommend!!
