i am only giving this Hertz branch a 5 Star because of a brief interaction with a staff member named Brandon who made it easy to return a car that I rented and even took care of my ride home by calling an Uber. Brandon is an example of exceptional customer service.The other side of it, i was given an electric car by the person who took care of my rental without being told i was getting an electric car; not a word about how or where to go to charge the car; later found out there is a home charger in the trunk but it didnt work so i must have spent 8 hours of my life getting this car charged in the past 2 weeks. So unless you know your way around electric cars, dont take it.

I rented a vehicle last Monday the 22nd of January 2024 between 5 and 6 pm I returned the vehicle on Monday the 29th before 5 pm and was charged for 8 days of rental ???? And then the woman proceed to count aloud on her fingers how many days I had the car seriously!BOTTOM LINE DONT RENT HERE !!! YOU GET RIPPED OFF !!

Terrible rental experience. Do not go here!Showed up and no cars were prepped for pickups. That was an issue. Then at drop off the office was open but no one was inside. I waited inside trying to call other locations, etc. to get someone. Then she, the manager, drives up. She was out filling cars with gas because no cars were prepped again. I was incredibly late to my appointment. Not apologetic, just rude.

When I went to pick up the car the staff was helpful. Make sure you check with your insurance company to see if they cover a rental. I got no information about this and took out Hertz basic policy which cost me $325.00 for 13 days. When I returned the car and asked about the charges, I did not get an answer but was told curtly that it was up to the insurance company. "Call them". I also got charges for roadside assistance, which I didn't use. They refunded that cost. When I called the St. Charles office, all I got were recordings.

Whenever we need a large vehicle to carry six or more people, this place is my go-to people. There are very professional. Vehicles are always clean, comfortable and well maintained

ZERO STARS!!Do. Not. Ever. Rent here!!! They gave away my reservation to another walk in customer and told me they had no more rentals. I asked for an upgrade to another vehicle and they told me to leave!!! I asked for their supervisor’s contact information and they told me to get out and started to call the local police!! Very rude, disrespectful and condescending! They made me go to another Hertz rental location more than 30 minutes away as they did not want to honor the rental agreement that I had with Statefarm. Both Roslyn and Isaiah need to be reprimanded and retrained!! Management needs to show the surveillance footage to all their employees to see how NOT to treat customers!!

I would rather ride a skateboard than try to rent from this place. Made a reservation 4 days in advance and got a call 30 minutes prior to picking up the car to tell me they didn't have a car available. Perfect example of how NOT to do business. They literally had 4 days to find a car...but they waited until I was almost there. This place needs to just shut its doors and let Enterprise handle the job. On the bright side, Enterprise had a beautiful car available on short notice. Save yourself the headache and go straight to Enterprise!!!

They went out of their way to get me into a car, even negotiated an upgrade, that was great!Upon return, they said the car was excessively dirty! Said it would take an hour to clean, a little vacuuming and a wipe down of the dash? An hour?Also said there was pet hair in the car, really?A couple of stray pet hairs?$50 to clean it!?!?Then the final price…Somehow it was $75 more than it was supposed to be. Great on the front end, not so much on the back end, the low prices end up the same as every one else

Shockingly terrible attitude, and service at this location. Called customer service at 9:30am to confirm my car was ready. Showed up at 11:20 am and was told, "sorry we didn't have time to call you to let you know WE HAVE NO CARS." Manager refused to call other Hertz, and said, "no Hertz in Chicago area has any cars." This man literally shrugged his shoulders and walked in the back. Zero regard for any customers. Called customer service 5 times before finally getting my reservation canceled, bc the store employees DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO CANCEL IT. I won't get a refund for 7 to 10 days, and paid $350 MORE at Budget bc all they had was an SUV.
