“Went to St. Charles to watch a Chicago Steele hockey game... and was VERY happy we stayed the night at the Baker. Very lovely hotel with a ton of history. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk was SUPER nice and accommodating, and the price for the room was very reasonable.(The gym room was closed for some reason, which made me sad... but took a long walk by the river, so that was good).Highly recommend staying at the Baker... and located right in the heart of everything, and surrounded by good restaurants.”
“My room was in the newer brick building with interior doorways
The room was nicely furnished and very clean, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The exercise room was very nice.
My only complaint about the room is the desk chair which was very worn and should be replaced. Also, the pool is permanently closed and looks like it has been closed for a while. The breakfast was adequate for a motel in this price range.
The location was a challenge as the motel is not at a traffic light, and it's difficult to get onto the busy main road if you are heading west into downtown St. Charles.
Overall, it was a good value for the price, and I would stay here again the next time I am in St. Charles visiting family..”

“Aly & Carrie N. Who were running the bistro during my stay were absolutely FANTASTIC! I travel a lot and I never hang out at any of the courtyard or Fairfield Bistro/Bars. They made my two-day stay amazing. Friendliest and top notch service! Smiled constantly and very conversational. These women deserve a raise! Everyone they served seemed to enjoy them and their high level customer service as much as I did! Amazing job ladies!”
“i stayed myself there. it's okay the service are great. it's very quiet and peaceful. they always have new sheets for every guest. the internet is a bit slow so do keep that in mind around 8mb. the price of the hotel is a little more expensive during the weekend. the breakfast is cereal bread and bagel all free complementary breakfast. the elevator smells a bit of cigarette. they have a small gym as well. it's good for short term . sp to be fair i give this a four out of five. and ps the beds are super comfy”
“The lady at the front desk played really awesome music in the middle of the night. Springsteen, Edie Brickell, James Taylor. That and the fireplace made my stay so great. Thank you.”
