“The Cupboard is a amazing place to go and get pizza, or chicken. It's a gas station but their food is amazing. Plus their owners Carl and Mary are lovely people to speak to. The workplace is a calm friendly environment. I Would recommend going to this place.”

“I was upset about not being asked about my Casey's points at this store and the next day at Murphysboro...and lost my points. I did get ahold of corporate and let them know how wrong it was spending 30 to 40 dollars...anyway. hopefully I will be watching closely...and right now hasn't happened again. In this day and age being on a low fixed income everything counts.”

“As a kid, this place was called so many different names that I remember just reverting to calling it "DJ's" as that's what it first was called (for as long as I can remember). If I recall correctly, while I was in high school, the gas station was realized to not be up to regulation, and someone was brought in to remove the gas pumps, which subsequently closed the business at that time.I am no longer a local, but coming back and seeing this place back in business brings back so many great memories of "walking uptown" with my friends growing up. The owner is extremely friendly and has always been welcoming, and I've get nothin but good vibes from the place. I'm happy they're in my hometown, giving us a surviving business that isn't just serving alcohol lol. I will ALWAYS stop here to grab a drink if I happen to be in the area.”

“I was in town for two days, had just drove through early November blizzard from Florida to Virginia then to Detroit before coming to Sparta. I was in unfamiliar territory, everyone that works at this store made me feel comfortable. Gas prices were the fairest in town. My phone was stolen last day in Sparta and every person working went out of their way to help and assist me. This stores emoyees, even at night hours deserve credit”
