“I accidentally put our city water bill in a blue USPS mailbox instead of the City Hall box. A very helpful employee at the Genoa post office took my name and number and then went through the mail after it was collected from the box and found my water bill! She even offered to look up the address and mail it for me and I’d just “owe” her the postage on my next visit. I picked it up but still - above and beyond service!”

“This morning I dropped off two packages, but had accidentally printed one label two times, not two different labels.
I gave them to the worker at the desk and left. She actually came out of the post office to shout that I had printed the wrong label and they couldn't accept it! She literally ran from behind the desk out to the ramp and shouted to let me know.
I'm SO SO grateful to her. It's not just a USPS thing (although I do love USPS), that was really heartening on a human level. She really saved me from a lot of stress and headache.
So thank you to her, the person who opened the USPS office in Sycamore on 07/20/26. Thank you!!”
