“Went with friends who shared their amazing experiences with the owner and the business. I don't believe business is the correct term because there were stacks of clothing bins full of shoes etc that were donated and people in need could take. I wasn't able to stay long but will return! I'm told there is candy for sale for next to nothing and owner established this as a safe place for children to come instead of roaming streets or other negative alternatives. The owner also served hot meals on certain days, music instruments, furniture, I can't say for certain that those items have a price tag but can imagine this wonderful human is only out to spread love.”

“Nice shop, always looks half empty. I guess the manager of dairy orders inside the grocery store orders the restock for this gas station and doesn't give them much because the store wants people to shop at store and not just the gas station. Not a good plan since there is a Walgreens and CVS across the street three doors down in each direction, not everyone is willing to hike to the back of the store to get milk. So they go somewhere else.
Employees in the gas station are a lot more pleasant than most employees in the grocery store.”
“The pizza is fresh. The doughnuts are too. Tasty food is served here with a sub bar, freshly baked pizzas, doughnus, and even homemade treats for sale! Also has a variety of drinks, snacks, and candy.”

“I've come to the davenport area for work for about a month and came across this gem of a convenience store, Sam's Food. It has everything you could need for a neighborhood convenience store from actual hot food (fish, chicken, pizza puffs, fries/wedges, hot wings, cheeseburgers, gyros, Italian beef, philly cheese steaks and more!), to chips and candy to sodas and juices, to coffee and pastries, you name it. There's a huge selection of everything including frozen food.
I don't smoke or drink, but they've got a huge selection of those categories as well.
The place is kept clean even during the salty snow days.
The family running the store are so sweet and pleasant to interact with.
It was such a convenience to me to learn that they own the laundry mat next door as well. I've washed a few times in there and while the washing and drying was quick, the clothes came out very clean. Thanks, y'all!”

“Stopped in here by myself on that late night tip after leaving a friend's house in RI to grab a slushy for the way home to the D. After pouring myself a 2 flavor suicide concauksion I proceeded to the cash register to be asked from the attendant if that was all that I needed. I said yes sir and he told me I was good and to get going. I responded don't you wanna be paid for this? He said nope it's on me today. I was literally shocked bc in my 47 years upon this planet this is the very first time at ANY place of business has an attendant ever offered to pay for ANYTHING. So for that fact alone this place gets a 5 star rating from me. The guy who works there on that late night tip (Your Awesome) and ty once again.”

“First-time customer today. Got double my vitamins compared to other stores. Staff was helpful in setting up an account and saved me some money. The cash register was getting full, so another employee swooped into help get it going. I like that. It's a bit of a drive to go there, but it was worth it for the money I saved. From what I saw and experienced, they did a good job. I'll go there again.”

“Walgreens is a very convenient store for me but I also like going there. That is where I get my prescriptions at and a lot of other things there and there's a young girl named Mackenzie that works there that is just a cool girl and it's nice to see her smiling face now when I go in. “This gas station is a hidden gem! The fuel prices are some of the best around, and the staff is well trained, professional, and always friendly. On top of that, the cheese sticks here are absolutely amazing fresh, hot, and super tasty. They also have a great liquor collection with plenty of options to choose from. The comfortable gaming room is a nice bonus, making it a great spot to relax for a bit. Clean, convenient, and great service all around highly recommended!”
