As a first time shooter, and woman, who has no prior gun knowledge, Edward helped me with 1 on 1 basics of gun safety and knowledge. He gave me in person situations to use my knowledge with! “I’ve shopped at Ray O’Herrons for many years since 2003. I used to work for the city of WestChester, IL. I remember their old location in Oak Brook off Rosevelt Rd. I’ve been at the new location in Downers Grove a few times. The only reason I’m giving four stars is they are so busy it’s hard for them to answer any questions and I get it. You got all the recruits and what not coming through. But it be nice to have someone who is available to help you. Even on the phone. When you send an email to them, you get a return email that the address is wrong. Other than that it’s great place!!!”

“Friendly staff, clean facility, good lighting, reasonably priced. The acoustics are definitely on the loud side recommend doubling up hearing protection. The target carrier was very responsive simple controls. Well ventilated shooting lanes.”
“Was referred to Gun Doctor from my local FFL in Elmhurst. Walked in and was greeted by a tall Nordic man who was super kind and patient. Was up front and candid about turn around time. Watched a few interactions in front of me and enjoy the old timers and their old revolvers they bring in and trust with this outfit. My Kimber K6S revolver gets modified grips to accompany the pinky and the EDC 642 snubby 13# springs. When I come to pick up I’ll drop off more toys. I have no qualms about stimulating our local economy and keeping the gunsmiths happy.

“Instructor Portillo is very knowledgeable, easy-going, and provides excellent trainings. I attended the CCL trainings and was very happy I chose USA Veteran Firearms Training...was very affordable, gained a lot of knowledge, and enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere. I've worked on/off in the security industry as armed officer since 1998 and lived in many states....I've relocated nearly every year due to career. Although I'm highly experienced and knowledgeable of firearms, it's very important to go through trainings like this to know about the state's laws, etc. I've lived in many states and they all have very different laws.”
