The Cornerstone Inn is a unique and awesome boutique hotel in a quaint, historical town near Washington, Illinois. The beautifully renovated building mixes old architecture with modern touches, perched on a bustling corner. Rooms are spacious, super clean, very comfortable, and full of character, with gloriously high ceilings and fun surprises like a desk lamp that is also a Bluetooth speaker. The hotel offers a unique, self-service experience with no front desk staff; guests text for requests, which are promptly handled. The location is perfect, within walking distance of antique stores on the square, a great modern restaurant, and a fountain. Within the same building is a friendly local bar called the W Down Under, with daily specials and a cool vibe, and a cute coffee shop called faire Coffee for great coffee. While some note the expectation for more personal service and a better breakfast offering, the overall experience is one of warmth. Prices are very reasonable, making it a gem of a place that guests are eager to recommend and return to for future trips.

If you are looking to stay near Washington, Illinois, then select the Cornerstone Inn. Awesome boutique Hotel. The whole building has been renovated and the rooms are spacious and awesome. Cute historical town.

We had a thunderstorm & sirens one night of our stay. But otherwise enjoyed; big, beautiful & clean, liked the location (sans sirens, etc.) and great service. Though a hot breakfast was not served, a good variety was available.
