Stayed at the Cornerstone Inn in Washington IL over the weekend while in town visiting family. It's located right on square close to shopping, restaurants, and grocery. Building is a historic building on the square renovated into a boutique hotel, coffee shop on main floor, and local bar/entertainment on the lower floor. There is a parking lot across the street as well as some other available parking locations around the square. Check-in was easy with keys waiting for customers. Rooms are nicely renovated and new. There is a continental breakfast available each morning consisting of pastries, coffee, yogurt, fruit, and cereals. There are also plenty of breakfast options around Washington. I would highly recommend the Cornerstone Inn. There are limited amount of rooms, so book early and in advance. One recommendation to make to the Cornerstone Inn would be to include directions on electronics/TV in room. With multiple remotes and possibly having to select which 'input', someone who is not very tech savy is going to have a hard time using the TV. Overall, a great stay and will return.

My husband and I have been here several times over the years- every time has been nothing short of wonderful. The only tiny complaint I noticed from this past weekends stay is that the bar that is in the same building can get loud, and they don’t close until 2AM. However, let the staff know and they not only let you borrow a white noise machine (super helpful) and call the bar and ask them to turn it down, which helped tremendously. We love it and will continue to come back! ?

We spent an amazing night here!! Room 7 looked so beautiful and had so much space. We loved being able to see out of the window and see the adorable adjacent shops. Super kind and helpful staff too!! I requested a romantic atmosphere and they absolutely delivered with roses and chocolates. Definitely book here and enjoy the coffee shop, the antiques store across the street, and the Bent Penny!! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay <3

Was looking forward to staying here based on all the positive reviews. However, our experience was quite different. Around 8:00 Friday night, we could clearly hear music playing from somewhere. Called the front desk, and she said that a couple months ago a new pub opened on the lower level. She said she would call them to see if they could turn it down. By 10:30, there was no change in the volume of music and we were laying in bed unable to sleep. So we called again to let her know, and she was able to move us to a different room. Huge difference, no music at all. Beware if you get room #7, or a room close by to it. You'll have a rock concert til 2 am when the pub closes.

Husband and I really liked the historic feel of the room. Tall ceilings, big crown molding and wood floors. Very comfortable and spacious. View of the boutiques on the street that we browsed on arrival. Location was a short drive to downtown Peoria with free parking across the street. Appreciated a quiet room without the noise of a heater or air running. No need with the tall ceilings. The temp was perfect on a super hot weekend outside. Especially loved the coffee shop on the main level. It made the Inn smell like warm cookies and coffee. The decor was a cozy mix of modern and nostalgic from its past Bank roots. Quiche and scones were delicious. We’ll definitely be staying there again.Walkability: Cute little town to walk around and shop in the many boutiques.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfast and coffee at the cafe that is conveniently located in the same building. In the evening, we could enjoy a cocktail in the bar also located downstairs. The room was clean, had a nice view, and within walking distance of cute boutiques and other nice shops. We would absolutely stay again.

Great place with really nice, modern rooms. Also directly above The Down Under bar, which is the only thing in town to still open past 7.Rooms: Newly updated modern contemporary.
