“Agatha did an incredible job restoring and preserving my grandmother's cross-stitches. Over 30+ years, they had gotten damaged from dust and sunlight exposure. She helped us carefully remove them from their frames, advised us on how to clean them, helped us select new frames and mats (she has a wide selection of samples in store) and then remounted and framed them in a timely and meticulous manner. We enjoyed our time working with her and felt comfortable entrusting her with our family heirlooms because of her expertise and great customer service. Will definitely be back!”
“This shop is such a fun place to be. You walk in the door and instantly feel the fun factor. Their clothing selection is the perfect mix of wearable but fashionable. You can get a drink and hang with friends and feel right at home, while finding that perfect piece for work, a night out, or upcoming vacation. If you haven’t been, you need to check Wyckwood House out!”
“Carolyn is a joy to work with. She helped us update our home so that it's comfortable for us, yet light and fresh for eventual resale. Carolyn listened carefully to all of our ideas and offered many options that we hadn't even considered. Her thoughtful guidance helped us with both major and minor updates to our home. She recommended many sources for materials and for tradesmen that she has vetted for her clients. Carolyn is low key and is a wealth of knowledge and experience. She really takes each of her client's needs and interests to heart. Her fees are quite reasonable and she saved us money in many areas with her expert advice. If you're looking for a first-rate experience, Carolyn is the one!”
“The staff was incredibly helpful with finding the right pieces for us. Donna helped us get the measurements and even printed us out care instructions for our furniture. After all that she gave us several options for delivery and helped us organize it all. Great experience overall.”

“This is only a purchase review, as our furniture will not be delivered for another 6 weeks or so. We purchased Lazy Boy Sofa and Love Seat 20 years ago from Lazy Boy. The Sofa after 20 years of children and such finally wore out. The Love Seat from 20 years ago has found a new home in the living room as it is STILL as comfortable as it was when we first got it. Which brings us back to Lazy Boy again for another reclining Sofa nearly identical to what we originally had, and a Jasper Rocking Recliner. Hoping these will give us another 20 years of performance and comfort. Our assistant / sales person Lynn in the South Elgin Illinois Store was wonderful. Very helpful without being pushy. That is very much appreciated. When we came to the store we had NO intention on purchasing anything that day. We'd been in just a few weeks earlier and while the sales were good, they were nothing to knock our socks off. When we came in the day of our purchase, we'd discovered that the item we were interested in was on sale for 50% off. THAT is enough to get someone to switch from shopping to buying. I will be happy to add another review when the furniture arrives.”

313 W State St, Geneva“Beautifully kept place!! I loved all of the items presented! You can tell the items are cherished and kept dust free! I was able to find cute things from my childhood! Owner is friendly and very sweet!”
“This is one of the Ten Thousand Villages that has an annual handmade rug event, where you can come in and see the rugs. You might find handmade rugs someplace like The Dump in Lombard, however here you can be sure it's made by fairly-paid artisans and you don't need to wonder about child or slave labor. They often have interesting jewelry which is quite affordable; miscellaneous housewares; runners/napkins/placemats/aprons etc. and hand-knit hats/scarves/mittens. They even carry fair trade chocolate bars. It's a little bit like Pier 1 used to be but with fairly-paid artisans instead of mass merchandise. There's nothing here that you need, but there is probably something here that will make you smile. Staff is very pleasant and patient when you ask them to, say, show you every rug in a three-foot stack of carpets, and if you have something particular in mind, they'll help you find something similar.”

I'm a Senior Citizen and my limitations to purchase something I need are endless. The discount for Seniors was limited to a certain day of the week....that was a turn off. I wanted a particular piece of furniture and wasn't able to purchase it because I wasn't there on the particular discount day. The item was sold following week of my return. So should Icontinue shop here?”

There are a few other accessories that I will be adding to the room as well. The quality of the furniture is excellent and the design Roopa provided exceeded my expectations. She provided pictures of what the finished room would look like and even worked with me on another room in the house. I will be back.”

Items that are cute and adorable that work well for families with little ones or for people that just prefer cute and adorable. 1120 Illinois Rte 59, Naperville“This was our first visit to Penny Mustard. We were looking for a media console for our TV, stereo equipment and media. Jailah helped us through this process. And it was a process. The media consoles are completely customizable. First you pick the style. They had several examples of the different styles on the floor. Then you pick the size (height and width), doors, drawers. Then you pick the (solid) wood and finish. Finally you pick the drawer and door hardware. Jailah patiently guided us through all of this.Penny Mustard is not cheap but then we are getting a fully custom, solid wood piece of fine furniture. Like so many things in life, you get what you pay for.I will be updating this review after the furniture arrives.”
“My family has had a baby shower here, private work event, and brunch with Santa. Every single time it’s perfect and set up beautifully. The owner goes above and beyond to be involved and tend to his guests/customers. The family feel he brings and the environment of the business is why we keep going back!”
10AM - 5PM
55 S Lake St, Aurora“Warehouse 55 is a hike, but once you get there, you'll be happy. This is set up like your average "booth rental" consignment place, but the place is huge (2 levels) and the booths are more like full rooms! It's beautifully curated - no digging for treasure here. This place is on the pricier side and some vendors have things that are clearly bought from overseas. But for the most part, Warehouse 55 sells gems! A lot of the vendors have their own IG pages where I've seen a few "must have" things - you still have to purchase through Warehouse 55, but it's another set of eyes on the prize;) I bought my incredible set of printing press dressers/shelves and use it as my jewelry box. I still have 7 drawers to fill! The ladies needing the counter have always been chatty and lovely! They're there to gab about your pieces and vendors- you can tell they love working here:) There's not much else in Aurora so make a trip to see the consignment pieces and grab lunch!”
11AM - 5PM
116 Cedar Ave, St. Charles“Super cute little consignment shop in a historical building! Will continue to visit each time I am in the area as the contents are said to rotate frequently! This past time I found a vintage pineapple/menehune toothpick holder that came home with me in an instant! Looking forward to the next visit!”
“Zora, went above and beyond on styling my home. My home is simply beautiful and my husband can't stop entertaining . I am really happy with everything; quality, style and service”
