“I moved away from the city some years ago and like a true Chicagoan, I wanted to have some gear to Rep it. There was never any gear that I could find that I liked enough to buy. I tried buying gear from the Alley but the quality was just too cheap for me and most of the designs were a bit punk/goth. Then I found these guys. I absolutely love the play on words of Cook County as well as some of the city's iconic symbols. The quality of the clothes is top notch. I have a few hoodies and they are the most comfortable hoodies I own. I've ordered on-line and bought in person as well. Both a great experience. Show these local guys some love and rep your city well.”

“I would like to start my review by saying "HELLO DARLING." This was an interesting shop for me because I was unsure whether this shop would have anything for me. But, upon suggestions, I ventured to this shop. I was in this area previously but never knew that there was a hidden gem (shop) in the area. Where were you "The Darling Shop"? Upon entering the store, the store associate welcomed me by placing a white disco ball necklace around my neck (I felt like I was given a medal for partying hard lol) and handed me the goodie bag. She was sweet and patient. As a part of the event, the goodie bag had white disco ball necklace, pink disco ball drink tumblers, facial cleansing wipe, nail polish and some stickers. She explained to me a little history about the store. It blew me away when I knew that this store sells their goods from local area small businesses, people etc. The Darling shop is a stage for all these mini businesses where every product is made with minute detail. This was my first surprise. The store had party stuff, women's fashion, baby stuff was on the right side from the counter, home goods, sunglasses on the left side to the wall and many more. There was one section where they had various kinds of greeting cards. There were a variety of things in the store. My first look was that it was a store for women but as I went around for a bit then it was eye-catching when I saw they had a small section for men which was my second surprise. They had Men's accessories, clothing, and grooming. Upon looking, I bought a black pair of socks for myself. To sum up, the store was cool with such a variety of daily goods. I could not get to meet the owner NIKKI, but the store instantly gives you happy vibes with all the positive quotes around the store and for the stuff they are selling. I also checked out their website which was great, but the only recommendation is it would be nice if the font color is white (other color) on top and bottom of the website as it can be more visible. I would recommend my friends to explore this store. Lastly, for me, THE DARLING STORE = INSTANT HAPPINESS.”

“What a treat! First of all, this store is sooooooo cute! It is every girly-girls dream come true! A colleague introduced me to Clever Girl three years ago and every time I have gone in, I have found something that I have fallen in love with. What I love about Clever girl, besides the fact that it's a mini-department store is that they truly strive to curate items that are stylish (without being too trendy), unique and budget friendly. At Clever Girl, you can find women's clothing, accessories (I saw the same enamel bangels featured in "O" Magazine here in some of the most tempting summer colors), items for the home ( the best smelling candles ever), and baby items. You will also find a great selection of greeting cards, other stationary items and exciting odds and ends here. The selection is always changing and it feels like a new store every time I have walked in. And when I leave with my purchases in hand, I always feel like a clever girl ;).”

“We always find good things at Hot Topic. This was quite a small location but everyone there was really nice and helpful. Clothes were tried on and many other items were shopped for. They had some really nice new Nightmare before Christmas merchandise that I wished I could get. Usually when we're shopping it's the kids who are buying things and they did find some items they wanted while we were there. I'm also a fan of all the Lilo & Stitch merchandise that I can run across. The store is definitely one of the highlights of the entire mall.”

“The store does have some unique items and high items. The lady working the day we went in was very nice, talkative, and helpful. We did find numberous items to buy but unfortunately they were not our size. So that's why the 4 stars. I understand resale shops often have one size of items but I wish they a few more sizes. Overall, it was a lovely store. Love the decor and arrangement of items which was easy to shop. The cost of the items were quit expensive compared to eBay or other upscale resale which for me was also part of the 4 stars. We will go back to check again because sometimes a one of a kind items is worth the cost.”
