“Good store, good food. Prices are pretty competitive. I always judge a place by whether I will be back or not and I can see myself revisiting this place in the future. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because the meat I purchased was on sale and I was charged the regular price. I’m sure this was an oversight, but still should’ve not happened. I did end up getting a readjustment so they corrected their mistake.”
“I have visited Thuringer Meats only once but it was an awesome experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the interior was clean and well organized. The meat selection is extensive and they have some frozen options too. There are homemade meals that are also offered in the frozen foods cooler. The deli and other various meats are high quality and cut to order, when possible. The Ribeye steak I purchased grilled nicely and popped with flavor. The lamb loin chops were fresh and tasty too. Looking forward to shopping here again soon! 100% recommend!”

“I live about 30 min away, and not in the area often. This place is a mandatory visit for me during the holiday season, when I pick up several frozen entrees - including the pasta prosciutto and vegetable lasagna. Small place, but worth the drive. Extremely friendly staff as well.”

“The new owners did a great job reorganizing the store and getting it cleaned up. The meat and groceries are very competitively priced. Sometimes, it can be hard to get a hold of someone on the phone. They also got rid of a lot of the processed meat selection that used to be available.Note: their Sunday hours are now 10 am to 5 pm.”

“I have visited this location as well.as the Barrington shop. Regular customer for a year. The filet mignon is excellent - just as perfect as Perry's steakhouse. I gave 2 to my Dad & his wife ( very picky eaters) and they complimented the quality. Also gave 2 to my neighbor for thanks for helping us- he is an expert griller and was blown away.
Last year we purchased the corned beef. Im not usually a fan of homemade corned beef, but purchased to please my husband. It was PERFECT, restaurant quality. I could not believe it! The staff will answer questions and advise how to prepare.
We cannot be without a few packages of the fresh Polish sausage in the freezer - its a go- to when we dont have a taste for anything. Its the best Ive ever tasted.
The stew meat is exceptional. I made beef stew and it was the best batch Ive ever made.
We were there last week.and I was able to find ground veal to make Italian meatballs. Last month I found at a local grocery store chain and did not purchase ( not fresh/ wanted almost $18.00). I am happy to pay for quality, which is why I purchased through Haybeck's. I will never purchase meat anywhere else.”
“The best corned beef anywhere! So good that when I walked in they actually had to cool a fresh one to cut it! I’m not sure I even realized they cook it themselves! Now I know why it always so fresh and good! Great staff as well! You don’t have to keep kosher to appreciate a really delicious butcher! No time to cook they have you covered ?”
“My husband and I visited our favorite store and happened upon an amazing cooking demonstration. It was such a pleasure to meet Chef Rosemary. She provided in depth insight into the entire feeezing process undertaken by her company, Wild Fork. After tasting her dish that she prepared (short ribs)we were in hook, line and sinker regarding the freezing process. The store is magnificent. We can’t wait share our experience with friends and family. Chef Rosemary shared with us that we should keep an eye out for the possibility of cooking classes being offered in the new year. “Well done! Lots of improvements...and I didn't see any expired items...but I didn't look everywhere either. I came for Ashura...but it wasn't there. I got boza and jars of canned vegetables. Honey is $17 a jar. It's good that I bought it for 5 dollars from the company store of North Star.”

“They have good selection of meats from chicken, goat, chicken liver, mutton liver, mutton legs, etc. The baby goat meat seems to be bit pricy compared to other shops in other Indian areas. Overall you will find good meat here.”
“There's nothing you can't find at this place! You can find all your favorite Desi masalas, breads, snacks, etc. This along with Woodman's in Buffalo Grove has to be my two favorite spots for fresh groceries!”
“Opens around 5:45ish. Delivery.Park on the street ( Nicholas) facing north before RR XX. Check in by dock. I pulled up to driveway across the dock and backed her in . GET OFF AND CHECK SIDE CLEARANCE FOR DOORS before backing all the to dock. Take your time and you’ll do fine. Pretty quick for a full load.”
