“My nephew Enzo is visiting from California to spend his 14th Birthday in Chicago. We attended the Lego Convention then we went to Woodfield to search for a specific set but couldn’t find it there. The wonderful Manager at Woodfield called the Northbrook location and we were able to order the set my Nephew Enzo was looking for. We arrived at the Lego Store in Northbrook and felt very Welcomed by the staff:Mery, Elizabeth and Cameron made my nephew’s day. From the moment we stepped into the store, the wonderful staff greeted us with smiles and made us feel that we were the only customers in the world. ❤️♥️But the truth is every family and child that walked were treated in such a special way.Thank you Cameron, Mery and Elizabeth for making my nephews Birthday special”
“They have an interactive play space where people can use the Legos on the table. It featured one of the large cars on display at the entrance to the store.Selection was great. Has some buckets of Lego person parts and accessories where you can customize 3 Lego people per package for $9.99. (1 Lego person consists of: hat/ hair + head + torso + legs + 1 accessory.)Neat and clean store. Someone welcomed us and checkout was quick and courteous. No one really offered to help or mentioned any new products or features of the store. Maybe they expected most people would only play with the Legos?When I walk into a Lego Store, I don’t really know where to start. So an interaction could have been more helpful.”
“Smash Toys is everything I wanted as a kid, and appreciated even more as an adult. I've never felt welcomed in comic book stores, toy stores, or video game stores like I do at Smash Toys. As soon as my wife and I walked in, we were greeted with what felt like a sincere welcome. I can't tell you how rare that is nowadays, so I knew we were in for a treat. The store is small, BUT there is a lot to explore. Every visit we each buy something for ourselves or a gift for someone. We usually do a few passes when we visit, which is actually fun because we spot new things with every pass, and it doesn't feel like anyone is breathing down our necks. Not feeling rushed means that we can actually buy things, but it also allows my wife and I to reminisce and share stories about our childhoods. The last thing I'll say is that the owner, Jon (sp?), is passionate and it shows. There's nothing worse than a snob in a comic/game shop, so I was really excited when I first asked a question and it was answered enthusiastically instead of trying to embarrass me. I don't think my experience is unique because I've seen Jon interact with other customers, even during trades, with the same great customer service. Already planning our next visit!”
“I was a kid in a toy store. There's a little bit of everything in here, I could spend hours exploring it all. Some prices are great, some prices are so so, but none of the prices are terrible. Some staff is friendly and outgoing, some staff a bit more taciturn.”
“We were a few minutes late for our appointment since we aren’t from the area and I wasn’t aware of the parking situation. I was willing to wait for the next opening but thankfully Stacy offered to cut my 3 year old’s hair. She took her time and gave me so many helpful tips on how to maintain my daughter’s very curly hair. I already see a massive difference in her hair from following her advice, my daughters hair is so much healthier and easier to style. We will definitely be coming back here, thank you Stacy!”
“This is the second time I’ve ordered from this store & both experiences exceeded expectations! The first time, I was looking for a specific product. It was shown on their website, but currently out of stock (in the middle of the supply chain issues). I called to check when/if it would be back in stock and their communication was stellar! They let me know that it had been ordered and kept me apprised of subsequent delays.The second time I ordered (today), I was given the option of free local delivery as one of the shipping methods. The gift appeared at my door wrapped complimentary.Both experiences, the people who work here couldn’t be nicer; they truly understand the value of good customer service!”
“Had a great experience in the activity area. We were at loose ends at the end of the day and the play area was too loud and busy for them. We just went to check out the toy store and found the activity area and kept them busy and happy till the mall closed. They were so excited to see a live axolotl and watch the snake being fed. The owner helped my youngest figure out the marble run and oldest had great time with nerf launcher and Turning Toy. If you are looking for a good place to keep bored kids occupied that's not the screaming madhouse the mall player was is, I would highly recommend.”

“I refer to this place as Snickerdoodles bc it always gets a fun reaction from my kids. Overall, big selection of toys and nice curation. I really like that they wrap toys for gifts. It's worth any full price or mark up to me to have it wrapped. At times the sales folks have made me a tinge uncomfortable. Kind of comes off as overbearing and I get some stares. I still drive an hour to Naperville to another locally owned toy shop whenever possible bc I tend to feel more welcomed there. Here, there is a bit of a weird vibe. Still, nice to have as a local option.”
“The salesperson here was amazing! Super knowledgeable, helpful, not pushy in any way. Within 10 minutes she helped us figure out what we were looking for and informed us of how to get a $100 voucher too. Great place to look for strollers, car seats, some cribs, toys, and accessories. FYI they do NOT have baby carriers”

“Had an amazing experience here at Go. This is the best toys and games store I have ever been. They have all the toys and games that we need for our kids at home and even for gifts at parties. Their staff are so knowledgeable with the items they are selling. If you have something to ask they can actually explain to you the purpose of each of every items they have. So that you can pick the best items you want. You can easily find all the things you need because their store is so organized, clean, bright, and well-sorted. Also you can checkout so quickly because their cashiers are working so fast. Their location is so easy to find and they are one of the most visited store in the Woodfield Mall. They are also near to other well-known stores there, so you can find their easily once you visit other stores around. Highly recommend this Go store to all of you, for you to also shop and visit their store. Also buy some of their amazing items. They also have calendars that perfect for our houses. So get some time and visit their store, I am sure that you will be satisfied and amazed too. I will go back there again when I am going to buy some toys and games again. “My family and I went to buy some loose Pokemon cards that my sons were interested in. The cards that they wanted were very random and consisted of Pokemon using all different energies as well as Trainers. The owner Jester was there and he was extremely helpful, helping us find over 30 of the cards that they were looking through by going through binders and loose cards in a box, which was extremely tedious. We've been to many Gamers Worlds where the employees running the store seem like they couldn't care less about their customers. We were fortunate to have the exact opposite experience here and want to thank Jester so much for his kindness and patience!”
“Sad that all the game stops are slowly disappearing. We stop by here to trade in games, shop for things we don't need, and pick up new games (like Zelda tears of the kingdom and Diablo 4). We also found out recently that they do "happy returns" so I was able to do multiple things during my stop. Even though Diablo 4 and Zelda were popular games, they still had it in stock. Service is always good and the workers are genuinely always trying to help. The only problem we faced is when there's a shortage of workers and slow processes due to technology constraints. For example, lines get long if some customers want to trade in a lot of games.”

“First time at this location. Note that the main photos shown are old. They told me that they don’t bring hardly any plushies in anymore and their focus is more on figures. They have a huge selection of sh figuarts and figma and then some other really cool statutes (non posable). They also have other anime knickknack things, if you’re a anime nerd this place is for you.”

“I've lived in the area all my life and use to go to the barnes in the mall. That Barnes was cluttered and hard to navigate. This new one is beautifuly organized and free flowing. The staff are friendly and put a smile on my face breath of fresh air. This is the best corporate book store you can go to in the area. Wide selection of books and a great vinyl selection. Happy I went and checked it out. Whomever runs this store kudos”
