“When I returned to Chicago for the first time in a long time, I found that Lincoln Avenue was abandoned, but Rotofugi was still alive and well.This store has character products, making it feel like you're in Harajuku.There are also Hello Kitty and Japanese products, but now the store mainly sells goods made by an Italian called Tokidoki with Japanese influences.The clothes are cute too.A while ago, there was an event by an artist in New York, and I bought a painting.I hope that someday it will be as valuable as Basquiat.”

“If you have a painting that needs any restoration, take it immediately to Tremain Art. Steve Citron is a master at restoring a painting to its original grandeur. I had an original portrait painting of my grandfather from 1942. During its transport to my home, a sharp object ripped the canvas. After giving it to Steve for repair, you cannot tell where the tear was originally located. It looks pristine after Steve also cleaned the years of accumulated dust and grime from the canvas.”
“This is a really vibey art gallery, store, and community space. People who live on the Blue Line can and should come to their shows. Seeing the results of local artists' practice is ? Obviously, you can buy your favorites.
The wares in the store are really good gifts to yourself or to anyone who has an artistic soul. Last time I was there, there were eye-catching denim jackets with painted backs and dresses in really interesting prints. People should just hang out there.”

“I have been attending One River School since spring of 2022. I took art in high school and that was a long time ago. Since I’ve been attending there, I have developed confidence to draw, paint ,color and do other things art related. My teacher Marisa is involved, teaching students in the through out the lesson. I drove by their store 100 times before I went in and inquired about the school. The staff is friendly. The location is safe. The school is roomy and clean. It is a challenge to be taught lessons and that is the best thing going there. It is rewarding to be present. It is not hard to meet fellow students. It’s just a good solid place to go.”
