“This would easily have been a five if not for the damaged property, lack of response and the delivery driver. My move was from Midwest to the East coast. My experience with the team in Chicago was excellent. I was going into storage initially. I was told it would go into crates, I was told I could use my own blankets. No crates and my blankets disappeared in the process. The driver on the delivery end was very aggressive and was only concerned about how the outcome looked for him and not whether I was a satisfied customer. Moved items into the house to discover many items damaged. The major item was a stand up desk that I will have to replace at my cost.
Have reached out several times to the team in Chicago with no response. In the end it was disappointing.
I revised this to a 5 star, as it was my experience with the team in Chicago and that same team resolved all issues to my great satisfaction. I do believe I can recommend this team as they are very customer focused.”
“The act of moving itself is stressful. Now add on storing your belongings and there’s a whole new level of uncertainty. Diane was there to help me from the beginning answering any and all questions I had assuring me I was making the right choice. She was right. She really took the stress out of this part of my move. “My experience with the storage facility has been nothing but outstanding. I used them 16 years ago when I moved in, had my mother-in-law use them a few years ago when she moved here, and I’m using them now as I move out, but don’t have a house just yet.
The units are clean, and I have a climate controlled one that is true to form. Jillian at the front desk has been professional and extremely helpful. There are always horror stories, but in all the times that I’ve interacted with this location, it has been proper, which allows me to easily recommend them!”

I never have to worry about changes to rent or if something went wrong with a check because I know that David will reach out. The facility itself is clean and has convenient carts for moving things in or out of my unit. I also love that this location is right off the interstate which makes it easy to get to.”
“Friendly Staff, even though on the day of our visit there were technical difficulties galore. SmartStop was entirely offline resorting to the tried and true pen and paper method. There were a few impatient parties ahead of us but Brittany & Dominick handled it like bosses. Kudos to keeping calm and pressing on and getting the job done! Our locker was clean and the prices were exactly as quoted with the exception of a minor admin fee which we knew to expect from prior experience.”
