“Nice to have a less expensive alternative to the other self-grooming dog wash on Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook, but this one wasn’t very clean, tidy nor organized. Dog hair everywhere, no towels, no brushes, nor refilled shampoo on hand-I had to ask. After every dog leaves, it should be checked. Very nice staff, though.”

“We took our two dogs here to get their nails trimmed. The groomer couldn't have been nicer. One of the dogs was very skittish, and she kept talking to him in a very calm voice to keep him calm. I wish I knew her name to give her the proper recognition she deserves.”

Brandon and his whole team are just wonderful to work with and all four of our pets have received great care from the team. Most recently, I lost my father and the Bark Place team watched over all the pets when I attended his funeral - and the Bark Place team went out of their way to send me condolences flowers. Just an incredible and unexpected act of service from the team.”

“I had worked at this groomin salon and let me tell you Karen and Dannie (the groomers really know how to handle dogs and its the only salon I had worked at as an assistant where they stop and give the dogs a break if they show any signs of stress...they use high quality products for cleansing and shampooing dogs..( from a previous comment. Dawn is only used when there are really oily ..dirty dogs ..and it is used on only specific parts of the body..like the butt..mixed in with a high quality shampoo...I have read about her prices being high but they do an amazing .skilled groom..and the rent has gone up along with the price of the products..I haven't worked there in a year but u get every penny worth of a great groom in the hands of caring people ...rest assured your pup is in good hands..Chris who has been there for several years does an amazing job as an assistant to the owner and maintains a very clean sanitary place..I'd give it 10 stars if I could..one more comment on why prices may have gone up is she pays a living wage y to her employees..she pays a higher wage then most places..therefore she has several staff that choose to stay with her”

“Don't go anywhere else! We've done agility elsewhere in Chicago, and we learned NOTHING compared to what we learn at Urban pooch. We learn the safe way how to build my pup's confidence while also teaching them the proper way to "bail" on contacts. We've taken private lessons and our Golden is in Daycare here.Their staff is CERTIFIED in dog training and other specialties. You do NOT get that ANYWHERE else in the city.”

“I saw this cute little store while I stopped by Pete's for some coffee. I was attracted to the store with their cute pet display so I thought I'd check it out. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted and asked if we needed assistance. I initially went in to look around but ended up buying a few things to try for my fuzzy baby. I was pleased to find that they had a lot of brands that I've only seen online. I'm trying out the open farms kibble to see how my girl likes it. I also got the meal toppers to try and a few treats. This was such a cute store and their prices were affordable considering they carry quality items. Will definitely come back to try more of their offerings and maybe bring the pup next time.”
