“Our Bernese Finn wasn’t baring any weight on his rear right leg. It was also very swollen. Dr. Carlson and his staff did amazing diagnosing him at minimal cost! His swelling went down overnight and he was finally able to walk on it the next day. We would have been easily diagnosed wrong but thanks to Dr. Carlsons expertise we were diagnosed correctly and the issue resolved fast. Thank you!”

“I have been going to Lakeland Animal Hospital for years! The staff is ALWAYS friendly! The veterinarian's are all conscientious and compassionate when it comes to my dogs. Unlike other places I have gone to they do not push to do anyting I'm financially not comfortable with. I can't speak highly enough for Lakeland Animal Hospital! UPDATE: I posted my original review 4 years ago and I would post the same review today (5/7/2024). My golden retriever mix had an enlarged heart. Under Dr Dunn's care he lived to be 14 1/2. I had to put him down in November and my other dog in February. Both dogs needed Immediate Care at the end. Instead of sending me to emergency, where they would have had to be put down in a strange place.... Dr Dunn squeezed them in so I could put them down at peace where they were comfortable with Dr Dunn and his wonderful staff.”

When we realized that her medicine wasn't going to work, and it was time for kitty to cross the rainbow bridge, the staff were professional, caring, and supportive. “I cannot say enough wonderful things about this animal hospital and the incredible staff who helped our family during two of the most difficult moments we’ve ever faced. The first time we came to them was when our sweet girl, Elvira, was at the end of her life. Our regular veterinarian was unable to fit her in and VCA graciously fit us into their schedule despite being extremely busy. Sadly, Elvira passed away on the way there with my husband. The staff treated her with such dignity, compassion, and respect. They waited for me to arrive so I could say my final goodbye to her, and that kindness is something I will never forget. Not long after losing Elvira, our other beloved dog, Zombie, took a sudden turn for the worse. Once again, VCA found a way to fit us in and provide exceptional care during an incredibly emotional time. The staff showed us the same compassion and understanding, making sure my husband could arrive before proceeding and giving our family the time and space we needed to say goodbye to our beautiful boy. The care, empathy, and genuine kindness shown by every member of the team meant more to us than words can express. They helped make heartbreaking situations a little more bearable and treated our pets like family. We will always be grateful for the love and support they gave Elvira, Zombie, and our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
