Great place to stay if you have a child at IU. Clean and a lot of parking.

Have to affirm that the staff really set this hotel apart. I appreciate the early check in as we came in on the red eye flight from Los Angeles. I know that means that house keeping is on it for room availability. Front desk as well to look at room inventory. My wife, son and I were tired and in need of rest.
The room was clean and well appointed. Room darkening shades worked perfectly too. This was definitely one of our better stays.

This is a nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and ensured that I had a great stay. The hotel is in a great location to nearby restaurants and local shops.

The room was dark and the air conditioner didn't work had to keep changing the settings as it wouldn't work The beds were harder then the floor. Stayed two days and never got and clean towels This place is not handicap friendly Have to go a long way to the parking New could find the place for breakfast and it was not included with the high price for the room However loved the location it was close to many places

Standard Hilton room. Always pretty consistent/good. Digital key is convenient. So is parking garage adjacent to the hotel.
Rooms: See above. Consistent Hilton hotel room. Not worn out or outdated.
Walkability: Right near downtown square. Convenient to restaurants and bars and downtown businesses.

From check-in to check-out, I had a nice experience. The ladies at the front desk were welcoming and accommodating.
I was in town with several others for a baseball tournament. Not realizing there was a group rate, I had booked my room online through Hilton Honors. The manager adjusted my rate to the lower group rate.
We enjoyed the convenience of Coaches, the bar/grill which is conveniently located adjacent the hotel lobby. The staff was very nice and took great care of us! We were tired from a full day of baseball and they were prompt and courteous. I had a veggie burger and sliced fruit. Both were good, fresh, and flavorful.
My room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and I had all the amenities I required.

Eileen and staff made sure we had a great stay! Hotel was in great condition and did not have any issues. There is parking garage directly behind the hotel, not connected but just a short walk across the courtyard. Several restaurants in walking distance as well. Requested a pack n play and it was basically brand new.

The hotel and staff are great. Parking not so much. You have to park in the garage and walk across a court yard to get to the rooms.

Let me start by saying, that we travel a LOT for both work and business. In our 30+ years of traveling, I have never written a bad review about a hotel. We typically do not stay at Hiltons and now I know why. We had to be in Bloomington for graduation last week. The nearest town is Indianapolis and is about an hour away. Here are my issues:
1. Not only did the Hilton charge $900/night, they forced a 3 night minimum stay. What?????
2. When I checked in, I asked for a rollaway, which they said they would bring "right away". It never showed up in the 3 days we were there.
3. If I am going to spend 1000 a night, I expect outstanding service. The person who checked me in was rude and had his ear buds in the whole time. When I asked a question, he was clearly annoyed that he had to take his ear buds out to hear me.
4. We checked into the hotel, along with a hotel full of other guests who were also mad about the price-gouging, and the hotel has ONE working elevator.
5. The first morning, the eggs were so wet and slimy they were inedible.
6. In 3 days, housekeeping came by once in the beginning and never came back to clean the room or even leave clean towels.
If I had it to do over, I would have driven the hour from Indi. Based on principle alone, I will NEVER give Hilton another dime of my money. There are far better hotel chains that don't act this way - especially towards their members.
So Long Hilton!

Watch your credit card! I booked a stay at Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomington thru Expedia. At check-in, the front desk required my credit card for incidentals – standard protocol. After checking out, I noticed a larger charge on my card from HILTON for a night’s stay. I called and spoke with the manager who explained that they accidentally charged my card and credited Expedia for the charge. I was informed that I would have to contact Expedia for reimbursement from the unapproved charge. WHAT? After painstakingly attempting to get my money from Expedia, I got ANOTHER charge on my card from Hilton for the room. I called Hilton again and spoke with Erica on April 13. She told me that I would be credited on my card for both charges. Didn’t happen. I finally disputed both charges with Citi, and got both charges reimbursed. But hey, Hilton made sure that the Expedia charge was reinstated. What a disappointing mess, all created by Hilton. Hours of my time were lost. During multiple conversations with local Hilton Garden staff, never did I hear any words of apology. Not the customer service I expect as a Hilton Honors member.

Great HGI and probably the best hotel I have stayed at in a collage town. The young lady at check in was very friendly and gave me several great dinner recommendations. The room was clean and updated.

Room service didn't come by as often as they claimed, we had towels replaced once but beds were never made over the several days we were there. One elevator was under repair or had an attendant sitting in it all day to press buttons and moved extremely slowly, it was faster to take the stairs. Would have been nice to have some reserved parking in the garage behind the hotel instead of hoping there was a spot left. Wi-Fi login didn't work, but the front desk helped with a workaround code; unfortunately it wasn't very fast in our room with 4 people on devices.

I stayed here for the eclipse and the staff was incredibly polite, kind, and friendly in the face of a full house of eclipse viewers. They did an excellent job of offering extra support and guidance when needed and pointing us toward eclipse activities. Would definitely return even without an eclipse!
