The staff is wonderful, very knowledgeable, and provides excellent individual, one-on-one service. They are genuinely interested in helping customers find exactly what they are looking for, from maps to hiking shoes. All the staff are really nice, contributing to a refreshing level of customer service. Customers leave satisfied and with a better understanding of their gear. Many have been loyal for decades, noting the store's wonderful consistency. It is considered a very cool store and a favorite outdoor shop in Indiana.

I was in town and needed some new shoes. Stopped in JL Waters and Theo was very helpful even with my particular and at times conflicting desires 😂 Ended up picking up a pair or Birkenstocks that feel great.
